Ran outside in Milwaukee
flat, beautiful outside
Hello from Milwaukee! I flew in yesterday and am here just for the day to attend a special event. Probably the most exciting part of the day yesterday was having a car pick me up. Like it was waiting for me and everything (and Tina). crazy. That’ll never get old.
The second most exciting thing was having dinner with Kelly and Tina and mugging down with some pizza. Kelly said that besides cheese and beer, Wisconsin is known for its’ sausage so I had a sausage pizza. I don’t even like sausage and it was legit good.
Thanks to twitter and Laura, this morning I had a Milwaukee’s Finest run. I would have just hit up the hotel gym, (which I’m sure is really nice) but Laura tweeted me saying to go run along the waterfront. I checked with the front desk to make sure Laura wasn’t leading me away to my demise (kidding, kinda) and it was only a couple blocks away, perfect.
So glad I went because it was gorgeous weather out and a fun way to see a little more of the city instead of a treadmill screen.
I didn’t have my Garmin (sadz) but I ran for 75 mins; I’d estimate about eight and a half miles.
One of my favorite runs that I’ve done in awhile. Thanks Laura for the advice!
I’ll have a post up later today about how to pick your first marathon so check it out later on. And then go enter the big fat CLICK giveaway before it ends tomorrow.
