In the last post I talked about getting purdy for a party and doing my hair with a flat iron. I also mentioned the BB hair dryer in this post with my frizzy mane…

The Blowout Beauty Ultra Power Hair Dryer projects airflow up to 50 MPH. seriously. But it’s quiet and most importantly, doesn’t take long to dry all my hair… I don’t have the patience for a 15 minute blowdry.

It has different speed and heat settings along with a 9 foot cord and removable air intake filter. It retails for $180 but is on sale for $99 with free shipping.

The Blowout Beauty Titanium 1” Professional Styling Iron has a ceramic heater that heats up to 400* in less than 60 seconds. It also has a 9 foot swivel cord that rotates 360* – I like this because that’s how my old CHI iron broke, it didn’t swivel all the way around.

Because the plates are slightly rounded, you can curl or flip your hair as well as straighten it, obviously. It retails for $150 but is also on sale for $99 with free shipping.

A reader had asked me about products I use to straighten or curl my hair:

Psssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssst brand dry shampoo – it’s about $6-7 at drugstores. Dirty hair styles better in my opinion so mine is usually at least a day dirty when I curl it. I’ll spray the dry shampoo on the roots and then a small amount of Redken Smooth Down on the ends – it’s a heat protector, but it’s really oily so just use a tiny bit.

To curl your hair with a flat iron, you have to twist each section around the iron once and then pull it through the hair very, very slowly. I first learned by watching Kandee Johnson’s youtube video.

You get more waves than curls and some pieces, especially on my left side, end up ugly sometimes, but I think it gets a little easier with practice. If you get some really wonky pieces of hair, you can always grab a curling iron and go over them again.

I bought that flatiron back in the day. And by back in the day I mean back when you first got it and told us about it. L.O.V.E. it. Totally worth the moolah. And if someone can win it?! Thats super fantastic.

My hair is made out of horse tails and copper wire, so anything that can make it look like I belong on a runway, well, it’s a winner in my book.

I am in desperate need of this giveaway as my hair dryer started up IN FLAMES as I was blow drying my hair a few weeks ago! Scariest. Moment. Ever.
