After my run I met my friend (who gave me my favoritest birthday present) for a walk ‘n’ talk. good times.

You know Cait who has created some funny cartoons for me? (here and here)
Well, she has created some shirts, and I recently bought one a couple weeks ago.
The shirts are from American Apparel and are super soft, but what I really like is the point behind the “Run Your Fortune” shirt:
I’m more of a pragmatic realist than a dreamer so I love the part that says,
“If you don’t put in the training there is no one else to blame. Come race time there is no one else to hide behind.”
When I’m not meeting my running goals or running as well I want to, the first thing I need to do is look at myself: my dedication and commitment, my training, my effort, not blaming everything around me.
Cait even adds in an iron-on slip to write your own fortune and iron it on your shirt. You can put it on the front of your shirt or on the inside if it’s a more private, personal goal.
I wore my shirt this morning with a pair of total creeper eyes:

I was just checking out Cait’s shirts the other day on her website. I like the design, and that you can add your own little fortune/goal. I think I might have to add it as a list minute Christmas idea!

I love the quote and I pretty much say the one you like to myself before every run. If I put in the effort needed, I’ll do great, if not, I can only blame me as to why.
