Another early morning run in Houston; the weather here has been perfect in the am for running.
I love having a smartphone, not for all the internet stuff (haven’t figured that out yet) but because of the accessible camera. It’s like a magic phone!
So every so often I’m going to do a phone photo dump on here. It’s going to be random and probably a total waste of your time. just sayin’.

I use my phone camera for blog pics a lot since I can download them straight to Picasa – makes it easier – but I still rarely take pictures (hence the boring blog…). I probably have a dozen pics on there, and most of them are about to get posted on Ebay! I’m flipping a pair of 7 jeans. Yeah, bought them at the Salvation Army on half price Wednesday for $2.80; can certainly make a profit reselling on Ebay. I’m so lame.

I don’t ever use my digital camera anymore..everything is off my smartphone. Not the greatest quality but it’s definitely accessible and easier!

I have a photo of my very red blood blister from my last half marathon. It’s disgusting and should be deleted ASAP.
I love using my smartphone for those quick shots but I always keep my good camera in my purse. Best way to remember life is throguh pictures. Esp since I don’t blog. I would love to share with you a photo I snapped of the most beautifully lit trees.
I love my smartphone for the same reason! Everyone’s like “have you seen this app etc” Im like “uh…have you checked out how good the camera is???” I have a pic of my son writing his name for first time

I am still in the dark ages with my phone skills and model…so sad I know! Maybe next year will be my year to upgrade!?
I used to delete all the pictures off my phone everytime I would sync it with my computer, but now I keep them on there in case I need them in a photo emergency. I have 2.5GB of pics, so whatever that translates to.
I also have an unhealthy amount of pictures of my cat. That I send to everyone I know.
i just got the iphone 2 wks ago and am obsessed with my camera! i take pictures of everything my friends think im crazy lol and i lovee the palm tree shot!
I just got my first iPhone and I only have about 60 photos on there. The most random one is a pic of the chestnuts I roasted yesterday (it was my first time). I still have the shot I took of your tweet in the latest Runner’s World! HA!
I love having a smartphone because I can take pictures of what I see on my runs around the neighborhood. And having it so you can capture the fun moments when you’re with family and friends is pretty cool too.
No smart phone for me (maybe next upgrade), no camera, either (on my Xmas list). I love that picture of you, what product do you use to get your hair wavy like that? I know you’re a fan of dry shampoo, but do you use something else?
The camera is definitely the best smartphone feature! I used to barely ever take pictures because I would always forget my camera….now its always with me so no more excuses.

I’ve got close to 900 photos on my phone over about 4 years. It’s a little ridiculous but the dude and I have totally let go of a regular camera in favor of our phones. I also have an inordinate number of cat photos on my phone!
About 325 pictures on my iPhone. Lots of random stuff – recipe that I sent to sis-in-law, pictures of stuff while shopping, and some priceless ones of my Mema.
I have 426 photos Yikes! It is the only “camera” that I use now just because my camera is so old my smartphone takes better pictures than the camera does. I have lots of pictures of my dog and cat but also an unhealthy number of self portraits that I take and send to my mom.

You did a post not too long ago about getting a new phone. Which phone did you end up with? I got the Samsung Galaxy S3 a week ago and I love it.
thats the one i got too. pretty sure that i dont know how to do 99% of the things it does.
I have a whopping 2000+ photos on my iPhone. But having a 2 year old, sometimes you have to whip out your phone and capture random moments. Probably 1995 of the 2000 are of my daughter-many eating frozen yogurt or riding tricycles in toys r us, etc. Its a great scrapbook to flip through at my fingertips since she grows so fast.
I do have a picture of a car that parked so close to me in the parking garage at my job downtown (Florida) that I had to crawl through my passenger side to get in. Grrr…

My phone is FILLED with dog photos. It’s ridiculous.
And it’s funny, we joke that our yorkie has a small head in relation to his body, you just can’t tell because of his little beard. Maybe it’s because his ears don’t stick up?

I just got a new phone, but my old phone had about 3000 pics on it. I have really cute kids, what can I say?
I love the Marni pictures! My phone is mostly filled with pictures of my niece…and some of my two kids
And I usually take a picture of my miles on the treadmill after I run or I’ll forget and its a nice way to keep track!
My kids steal my phone and take hundreds of pictures of their face really close up.
So do mine!! And then they use some kind of app that makes it look like a fun house mirror. I have 1000+ of pictures like that… My favorite was when my 6 y.o. was taking pix of people stopped next to us at a traffic light. One guy is totally waving and smiling! So cute!
My kids do the same thing too! My 6 year old takes what seems like a million pictures and videos of his toy animals with my phone and my 5 year old takes pictures of whatever game he is playing so there are tons of pictures of the exact same thing with a few legitimate ones sprinkled in.
Oh so many photos…. I forget I have an actual real camera and hardly ever use it. Of course it is all baby girl all day long, a good phone camera is a must for a Mommy – even dog Mommies.
What kind of a phone did you end up getting?
I have 250 pictures on my phone but they are all on the computer a well so I am going to dump most of them. The most random? A recipe that wouldn’t scan and I needed to send it to a friend. A slot machine in Vegas. Candy Corn M&M’s (ewww).

My sister is about to start training for a half marathon and I was thinking about getting her some compression socks for Christmas. Do you recommend wearing them for training runs too, or just the race? Are there any deals going on right now that you know of?
Haha! I love your “photo dump” – I’m guilty of doing the same thing. Wait ’till you get on the whole “Internet fad” and you’ll be saving images and pictures like it’s going out of style

Good luck with phone picture taking. I have had my smart phone for a year and I have used up all my photo taking space. I even have deleted many many pictures during this time. Apparently 9,000 photos on my phone is my limit. I have deleted a 1,000 since the warning, I am out of control! Have fun!!
