Sidewalk Prophet

by SkinnyRunner on November 22, 2012

WORKOUT -

Ran outside -

10.5 miles/1:19

No turkey trot this year…

But I started with an 8:02 mile and sped up until I hit the last couple at 7:05.

I love starting a holiday or special day with a run, but then again I’m one of those weirdos who loves starting any day with a run.

Some sidewalk motivation I saw last week near a local elementary school on my walk with Marni…

Hope you find the turkey and have a wonderful, blessed day today.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I saw some markings like that during a cross country race once while going up a tough hill. Such a motivator :) You are one speedy lady!! I wish I could run that fast that far! Have a great day!!

Happy thanksgiving ! I’m thinking those sidewalk motivators might be for local girls on the run? My daughter just did hers near the school, and they had the same writings on the track :)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Haha cute! I wouldn’t mind some written inspiration on my sidewalks. What did you use to take the photos of them? Do you use an iphone or do you take your camera along?

Cute inspiration! A couple weeks ago I saw a marriage proposal in chalk on my paved trail! It made me so happy :)

My tradition of running on Thanksgiving turned into me doing the half in Atlanta *hopefully* every year – I love it! Love the sidewalk motivation. We have sidewalk chalk… I’m tempted to get crafty in our neighborhood :)

I love when my kids come home and tell me they ran at school for P.E. or any time kids run (especially when they think it’s racing). My kids were SO SO happy to participate in my Virtual Turkey Trot 5K yesterday. At the dinner table when we were discussing our ‘Things I’m thankful for’, my 10 year old said it was the highlight of his Thanksgiving, which of course melted my heart! I hope you, Jaybob and Marni had a fab day. :)

xo, Jess
