Vote for Sugar

by SkinnyRunner on November 6, 2012

WORKOUT -

Ran outside -

8.5 miles/1:15

nice and easy

Walked the d0g -

4.4 miles

After a relaxed early morning run, I met Katie for a mid-morning walk.

003 (800x424)

We powered it out with over 4 miles.  Marni probably needed a gel because she didn’t kick it in to the finish as strong as I would have liked.  Someone’s gonna be doing mile repeats and working on their mental game this week…

004 (432x800)

SOLD OUT

Thanks to you all who bought a BIC Band; they’re all sold out. That’s $600 raised to go to hurricane relief charities in 2 days!  awesome.  And remember that any band you buy this month, $1 goes to a hurricane relief charity.

FOR SALE

I have the code for the Pro Compression Argyle sale: SOM112.

2012-11-05_1809

I love a good argyle print and wore the new pink socks during Sunday’s race…

2012-11-05_0924

Better get your bad self a pair before they sell out.

Would you rather vote for…

Maple Bars

or

Apple Fritters?

yumyum

My sister-in-law just made HOMEMADE maple bars.  I know, I hate her too… especially since she didn’t overnight me any.  It’s like, You know where I live.  How could you?!

Maple Bars or Apple Fritters?! That’s too difficult of a decision. Count me among the undecided. This will require some further “study” of the candidates.

What are maple bars?

Annette@FitnessPerks November 6, 2012 at 11:31 am

I don’t think I’ve ever had either. I know, I know. WHo am I?!? In my defense, my mom is Swiss, and I was raised on Swiss chocolate & cookies & not on American stuff…but they both sound good! :)

I would rather have apple fritters. I love the little pieces of apples in there!

I’m rocking some fluorescent green/yellow pro compression socks right now. I’m loving the argyle, though.

i don’t even know what a maple bar is, but that looks amazing.

YAY for the 40% off on the Pink PC Argyle socks! Mine have be ordered! As for the sweet treats…I haven’t had either, but my vote would be for the maple bars! They look DEE LISH!

I need more information about these maple bars before I cast my vote. What are they? Otherwise, I’ll have to vote for the incumbent apple fritter.

(PS I totally hit that argyle sale yesterday and opted for the blue ones)

Great sale!

I can’t decide between the two. I never can. Those are my two favorites!

My vote is for the Maple Bar.

And yay for the argyle sale! Picked up the pink!

Maple Bars FTW. I bet they would run a better campaign and wouldn’t leave handouts on my doorstep, just sugary goodness. That’s a political plan I can get behind.

Apple fritter all the way! I think I chose that as my favorite when I was little just because it was so darn huge and the biggest donut available. I’m no dummy!

Great news on the Bic bands!

I just bought the baby blue argyle socks! I can’t wait! Thanks for the sale! Baby blue is my favorite color! Can’t wait to wear them for racing and recovery!

Maple Bars from Pike Place Market, Baby! Too bad I live in the “other” Washington. Sighhhhhh…. Now I want a maple bar … and some Ivar’s Clam Chowda.

I’m stoked the BIC Bands sale & donation was a huge hit!!
Maple bars all the way.
Oh and I dig my Pro Compression socks big time. Maybe I “need” another pair.

Ummm can I have both? They look delish! And I need to order a bid band! I’m so glad (and not surprised) they sold so fast! Good for you! And nice job on the race! You rock! I get excited when I can keep a 10 min. Mile and look at you! :)

Shoot – I’ve never had either of those treats!

Man, I want those khaki socks but I just bought 3 pair with in the last 2 months. How can I hide this purchase from my husband?!?!? :)

Thanks for the compression socks code!! I need one!

Homemade maple bars wins this one. But seriously, I’m always sooo impressed by any type of cooking or baking in the kitchen since the only thing I can do well is microwave!! :(

Courtney November 6, 2012 at 5:35 pm

MAPLE BARS!

Reply

Jina November 6, 2012 at 6:14 pm

I don’t think I’ve had either. Based on name alone, I’d go with the apple fritter.

Reply

Abby @ BackAtSquareZero November 6, 2012 at 6:23 pm

I am not sure which one I’d vote for. You should over night me one of each so I can test and then choose.

Brooke Walker November 6, 2012 at 6:38 pm

I vote maple bar! I ordered the pink socks….never worn compression socks and looking forward to rocking the argyle!!!

I live under a rock. I’ve never had an apple fritter, nor have heard of a maple bar. :(

Apple fritters all the way. There are better ways to get your maple fix, like maple sugar candy, or maple syrup with pancakes on the side.

Thank you for the discount code for Pro Compression socks! I’m ordering the pink right now. I don’t think I can pull off pink socks and pink shoes as well as you do, though!

Emily November 7, 2012 at 7:17 am

Jenn November 7, 2012 at 1:45 pm

I think both are equally yummy!

Just bought my first pair of compression socks-pink argyle! Gonna rock them at the Dallas Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving day. Now I need some BIC bands to hold my short hair back-would they really stay in place on my big fat head???

Sarah M November 8, 2012 at 7:52 am

Thank you so much for the Pro Compression code. I finally bought a pair and now can’t wait to get them and try them out since I am pretending to be a runner :)
Thanks for always being an amazing inspiration!

What size socks do you wear? I’m definitely in the “Small” category based on foot size (attractive huge gnarly feet from running….) but they say if you want tighter to go smaller? Thoughts?
