Where film crews are, there I will be

by SkinnyRunner on October 24, 2012

After the event last night, we said goodbye to the gold toilet paper holders (seriously) and headed to our hotel.

We decided to stay the night in LA because Jaymo has a work meeting here today so it made sense.  But then again, I can justify any “vacation” in my mind.  It’s a talent, what can I say.

I booked a room at the Andaz West Hollywood on Priceline.  I did Name Your Own Price and got it for nearly $100 less than the regular price!  (But parking is ridic pricey)

The hotel and room are both super modern and swanky, and our room is huge.  Plus, today I saw a BBC crew filming something in the hotel bar so I’m in celeb stalking heaven although I haven’t seen anyone. :(

We also had a view of the Hollywood Hills.  We both tried guessing how much a house on the hill costs and came up with $14.  That sounds about right, right?

How much do I love taking pictures of myself?  Like a million to the moons and back.

One last shot from last night: didn’t realize I was rocking such a hard side part.  Trying to pull an Elvis or something.

I think that’s the hotel that always has large a pic of Jennifer Anniston on the side. If that’s the one, then one of the floors was taken over by an 80s Rick band when they decided to ride their motorcycles inside!

i think one of the best parts of living on the CA coast is that you basically can travel just a few miles and feel like you’re on holidays! If only it were like that here…

You two are adorable. I wanted to say hot, but that kinda makes me sound creepy or something. ;)

Just read your post after dealing with a king size tantrum at bedtime…kinda made me feel like I was on vacation. And thank you for that. :)

What kind of running capris/leggings do you wear? I can’t seem to find ones I like that aren’t see thru or cause weird rubbing – for daily wear or runs.

Fun little mini vacation! I like it. This makes me think I should make Mike take off work next week when I go to NYC for work and we can stay for a long weekend. I probably won’t, though, because that sounds like too much effort on my part.

I think it’s sweet that you actually admit to loving taking pictures of yourself. We all know we do, but you actually admit it. More power to ya. But you should love it, your gorgeous, lady!

The hotel looks nice but I seriously HATE those showers with the half glass pane. Especially on days I skip washing my hair – too cold!

You look beautiful! Love the hair! I am always taking pictures of myself…because clearly I’m super cool. Once I was taking a picture of myself at a stop light and my friend saw me and texted me to bust me…it was embarrassing. Now I’m more aware;) The hotel looks great too!

I think you should get Priceline to have you do reviews and comp your rooms
