Last night the awesometastic Pam organized a big blogger dinner extravaganza at Simply Fondue which is simply, a fondue restaurant.
doi.
Here’s the last time (and the first time) I did fondue.
The attendees:
![]()
Heather, Sheila and Madison who’s planning her wedding coming up soon. I love weddings! I wanna get married like at least 27 times! and maybe even to the same dude!
{Kaitlin, Heather and Pam}
Julie and Shannon either hugging it out or stiff-arming each other.
So.much.food.
We each had a starter salad (I never got mine? but it’s a good thing because I saved those empty vegetable calories for chocolate) and 4 pots of cheese; two girls shared a pot so we could taste test different ones.
And then each “couple” chose 3 entrees to grill – Pam and I chose chicken, steak and shrimp. covered all our bases on that one.
{Pam and Chacha}
Modeling the pickles (the cheese dip tray) which meant I could put the plate right in front of me.
Nicole’s back there too. Go read her Chicago race recap stat, it’s a favorite of mine.
And the main event: chocolate.
We had 5 different pots of chocolate: Millionaire Swirl, Bananas Foster Fondue, White Chocolate Amaretto, Campfire Chocolate and Raspberry Cabernet. It was pretty much the best thing to ever happen in my life.
You can check out their whole menu here.
I basically pulled a janitor and cleaned everyone’s plates and chocolate pots.
Blue Steel showed up as well.
Thanks Pam for planning everything and even getting us discounted prices. You are the designated party planner for sure. My birthday’s in December. just sayin’.

I’ve tried both cheese and chocolate fondue before, but I can’t imagine eating both in one meal!! After a cheese fondue all I want to do is lie down, stretch my belly out and regret eating so much.
yeah that was pretty much how i felt.
yum, that looks so amazing! the cheese and entree courses are so good, but there’s something so heavenly about that chocolate!! i’ve been to the melting pot a couple times, and i need to go back stat. my roommate’s boyfriend is taking her there for her b-day tomorrow, leaving me wondering why i’m not patrolling the streets to snag a boyfriend.
I think it’s ironic that Pam planned a blogger party and doesn’t have a blog
But she does seem like an awesome party planner, so I say she’s a keeper.
Looks delish…now I’m hungry and don’t know how peanut butter M&Ms can compare with all that fabulous chocolate.
well, she does have a blog but its private.
My husband and I just went to Simply Fondue in RSM with a Groupon and really enjoyed it. We got the Whiskey Cheddar cheese dip, which was to die for, and the Dutch Chocolate for dessert, amazing. The main course was just okay for me. We chose the traditional oil cooking method and that made the meal really heavy.
Which cooking method did you use? Oil, broth or grill? Did you like it?
we all did grill and liked it. boiling meat just seems sorta weird to me?! the whiskey cheddar was awesome!
Oh my word…that Whiskey Cheddar was out of this world! Since we all inhaled about 3,000 calories of cheese I’m pretty sure we all grilled our food which was great in the taste department but required a ton of patience!
That was so fun! Glad we all got to get together
I’m still dreaming of that desert
P/S A huge birthday celebration is in order this December. It’s a big one!
YEAH!
I’m also still dreaming about that dessert. Where do I RSVP for that birthday celebration? I’ll bring the pickles.
I am so jealous. That is pretty much the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen in my life. Veggies dipped in cheese and then as much delicious chocolate as you want? I don’t think it gets any better than that!
We have “The Melting Pot” restaurant here in Charlotte and I’ve been to it once when I was in high school, but I haven’t had fondue since! Looks amazing though!
aw muchas gracias mi amiga!!
it was such a fun night!! my hair, clothes, car smelled like garlic! we got “garlic/chocolate wasted!” I walked in the door & my daughter said “mommy you smell like the food you ate!”
YES, YES we’ll plan a fun party for your b-day coming up!! strawberry layered cake w/xtra frosting!!!
OH & don’t forget to “GO SEE “TAKEN 2!!!!” & try a pumpkin flavored pop-tart!! BOTH are sooo good!!!
luv ya xo
Pam! I almost forgot about Taken 2 and pumpkin pop-tarts…lol!
TAKEN 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m always so jealous of your blogger meet up’s! Looks like SO.MUCH.FUN! You’re also too sweet in that you help all of us baby bloggers get the word out. Thanks for being cool SR!
Yummy! Love cheese and chocolate fondue! Girls night out are always a good time.
First – I laughed as I read the title…. I am sitting here eating my lunch (salad) as I catch up on some blogs.
Second – I LOVE fondue but I always eat too much. Stretchy pants are the key
Everything looks so good! I must go find some chocolate this instant.
Love fondue! That looks amazing!
Looks like so much fun! I would probably clean everyone’s plates of chocolate too.
My sister is the manager at that Simply Fondue! I love eating there when I visit her!
I’m totally craving The Melting Pot now. Looks like fun, we used to fondue when I was little. I think it was big in the late 70′s early 80′s.
I’m having a GIVEAWAY today. A book written by Janet O., the runner/mom who was severely injured in a car accident. It’s very inspiring!!
I just went to the Melting Pot last week.
It was so gooooood!!
I loooovveeee fondue!! Yumm.
For the starter to my bachelorette party we went out for fondue! It was so incredibly delicious and swanky! Next time you are in Portland and craving some hit up Urban Fondue!
Girl, you’re looking HOT in your fondue photo near the end!!
I never enjoy those restaurants because I never am able to fill myself and I want to just drink all the fondue stuff.
Which of the choc fondue is “best-est”, awesome-sauce????
i really liked the amaretto which i would have never guessed. and the banana foster. i keep saying how i don’t like white chocolate, but maybe i secretly do and im denial.
