Last night I met up for First Dinner
at Bar Toma
with these crazy funny ladies…
(Sierra, your fabness was missed)
The food was good and the salad was killer (order the Cristina salad, delish), but the company was terrible. Whatever you do, DO NOT hang out with these girls or read their blogs. not fun at all. at all.
Thanks Kelsey for letting me steal all your pictures and pretend they’re mine! And thanks girls for all the fun.
We said our goodbyes and good riddances and Kim acted as my bodyguard so I wouldn’t get murdered and walked me to Second Dinner at Lou Malnati’s where I met my man.
We shared a Caesar salad that was really good and I don’t even like Caesar salad that much. We also shared a small deep dish pizza and my mind is made up: THIN CRUST RULES.
It was good and cheesy and all that and our waitress was great, but thin crust is the biznas. The end.

Looks like a fun group of ladies, and you can’t go wrong with two dinners!
I have to agree though- thin crusts are the way to go.
I’m with you – deep dish is just too much. And it’s hard to eat! I don’t really want a paper thin crispy crust, more like a slightly chewy crust – think small Italian restaurant. That’s how I make it when I do it myself.
I wish I was there! I’m glad I was missed. I agree about the Chicago deep dish…not my thing, but everyone must try it as an experience.
See you in two weeks….(I feel like we are long distance dating and meeting every couple weeks for a meal/drinks)
I’m so pretty.
Can’t wait to get all snuggly buggly at ZOOMA next week. Hope you’re cool with sharing a sleeping bag with Sierra and I.
It was so great to meet you last night!
I’m glad you survived your second dinner and I’m totally with you- thin crust is 1000x better than deep dish.
I agree 100%. Thin crust all the way!
Those wine glasses look to be the same size as our heads…sheesh. Anyhoo, so much fun! Great night out with the ladies. Come back to Chicago soon!
lthanks for pointing out to everyone our wine consuming ability…
Well, you gave that nasty deep dish another shot. Fair enough. Now stick to the thin crust.
The Kidless Kronicles
A friend of mine found a latex glove baked into his thick crust pie. For realz. Bet you can’t do that in a thin crust.
good point.
Second dinner?! You may be on to something!
Pretty sure I post-marathon hobbled past you on Ontario St. today (if not, my husband got to hear me SkinnyRunner babble for no reason)! And yes, after sampling, definitely a thin crust girl!
Aww… you all look so fun. I’m not sure if I agree with the crust- I like it thick sometimes, but I don’t like cheese on my pizza. Go figure.
Hope to see you this weekend!
Alright, you’re allowed to have your opinion now that you’ve made a real educated choice
.
Second dinner = win! And thin crust pizza for life! I am such a pizza snob.
Sadly after reading this post I don’t think we can be friends anymore. I’m just going to shoot dirty looks at you in the mirror at the gym on Friday mornings. Oh, and maybe have you and the J-Meister over for my homemade thick crust pizza to give it one more shot – none of that cornmeal-y crust. Just straight up gluten goodness.
Totes agree about thin crust pizza – I dont want that dough dominating over my toppings!
Yep, I’m with you on the thin crust! And congrats on your marathon this weekend, I’m jealous! I’m running/hopefully surviving the Warrior Dash this weekend with a friend. Very nervous!
Lou Malnati’s is the best so if you didn’t like that then deep dish just isn’t for you. I like deep dish, but also love thin too…actually I love any pizza.
Yay for thin crust!
Ahh, at least you tried Lou Malnatis. The fact that you didn’t love it as much as me did kill a little bit of my soul, but I’m sure it will grow back.
