Hello from Chicago!
If you’re on twitter, you might have already seen this picture… I was off in search of coffee yesterday morning and ran into reader Vi and Lisa and Hoa in the hotel. Thanks girls for saying hello and good luck today!
I’ll recap yesterday later today (get that?), but the most important part of the day was carbing up for the race…
My husband’s only request for this trip was to find a sports bar to watch the Texas Tech game yesterday afternoon. A couple locals recommended this place, but they wouldn’t put the game on because they said it was blacked out even though it was on ESPN2? I don’t know, I don’t get it. If it’s not on Bravo or Fox, I don’t follow.
So we wandered over a street to Theory and they found us a table right in front of the Tech game. sweet.
Tech ended up losing bad and the man ended up getting all mad to the surprise of… exactly no one. Stevie Wonder saw that one coming.
Now it’s time to go OWN CHICAGO.
A big thanks to ProCompression and 26.2 Apparel for sponsoring me in this race.
My clothes (this and this) were laid out with my pink socks all ready to do this. I went to bed around 10pm and slept like a rock until my 5:30am alarm.
It’s 40 degrees outside, great running weather but dang, it’s cold for this SoCal wimp.
Have a great race and a good time to everyone running including my blonde friend, my brown haired friend and my redheaded friend!
Off to do #35

Obviously you’ve already run, so I won’t say good luck. I am so excited to have cold temps like that for my race on Saturday. The hot weather is finally over!
