I wanna be a Real Housewife in New Jersey

by SkinnyRunner on September 19, 2012

WORKOUT -

Ran outside -

13.25 miles/1:49

hills and trails

I ran some new trails and roads today, got lost, ended up in a neighboring town and had a Dean Karnazes moment.  kinda awesome.

Outfit details because hey, we’re vain girls and all we care about is clothes, right?

tiny

*Free visor from Refuel with Chocolate Milk – I used to not like visors but with the sunny weather, I’m realizing they’re pretty righteous.

*Walmart workout tank top – it has a subtle leopard print and since I’m a closet RHONJ wannabe, I gotta get in my animal prints somewhere.

*New Moving Comfort Vixen sports bra in lime green

*26.2 shorts

*Pro socks – on sale now

*Mizuno Wave Rider 14s (on sale at RRS) – word on the street is the new WR 16s are coming out soon.  need.

I took Monday and Tuesday off as rest days, something I normally don’t do.

Besides walking the dog, I didn’t do anything physical, but I did catch up on a lot of life stuff, all the stuff that doesn’t make it on the blog.

I’ve been a little stressed with said life stuff, but nothing that a little sweet wine can’t fix…

001 (800x634)

My good girlfriend Reese gave me this bottle of Flirtations Moscato from Opolo Winery in Paso Robles.

We went wine tasting at Opolo last year when we were in Paso for the marathon.  Maybe we’ll go there again when I run the race on October 28th?  You know, only if Trader Joe’s 2 Buck Chuck winery is too fancy for us.

My main man has been a stud in the kitchen backyard lately, grilling up a storm.  The other night he made filet mignon kebabs and last night was chicken fajitas.  A short order cook and free wine?  I need to get stressed out more often.

WINGS! And of course the gallon of ranch dressing that it takes to eat 6 wings.
Need a trip to Costco for more carrots. And half and half for my coffee. Milk just won’t do.

I have been a little stressed with life stuff lately too. I’ll need to try some wine, unfortunately my hubs is out of town so no chef for me right now! Food I run for: pizza, cookies, ice cream, cheesecake (I could keep going…).

Toni September 19, 2012 at 11:48 am

Ice cream. And the RHONJ are a hot mess!! Now that’s great television!

Reply

Happier Heather September 19, 2012 at 11:54 am

Wow, took me a while to figure out what RHONJ meant. I despise most “reality” tv, so I’m not surprised.

Anyway, I run for ice cream, pizza and BEER! Yes, all of them in the same meal if possible.

I’m pretty obsessed with all of the Real Housewives shows except for Miami. Can’t get into that one. Bev Hills, OC, NYC, and NJ..love love love. I need a life.

I run for any and all bad food: chips, chocolate, pizza, etc. :)

I run for the heavy Korean food (rice and meat dish, fried green onion pancake, etc.)!
I kind of love when I get lost and end up exploring more places on the trails, too!

Skinny Runner – it always cracks me up that you think you need to run more miles to look like a super model – you already do. I do love that you encourage people to run their own pace even though you are super fast! I run to eat cupcakes and pizza *dalish*. Thanks for being an awesome blogger.

I run for Buffalo Wild Wings and Five Guys! My bf and I are training for our first marathon (Chicago, getting close!!) and the only way we’ve been able to get through some of those killer long runs is in knowing that we get to chow down on some greasy wings, burgers and fries!

Just bought my first pair of ProCompression socks too!

I’m super stressed (not kidding!) about my feet – left heel is recovering and right PF flaring up – really could do with some TLC, nice dinner and positive vibes, prayers!
