I love my husband, don’t get it twisted.
I vowed six years ago to love and cherish him and other stuff that sounded poetic.
I even vowed to share half my 200+ piece Beanie Baby collection. I know, that is love.
{Not my personal collection but that’s basically what it looks like minus the fake foliage on top.}
But sometimes you just need to get away from your stuffed animal loving manlover and have a girls night out…
Next Thursday August 16th Road Runner Sports is hosting their monthly FREE women-only fun run at the Laguna Hills store.
It’s a casual 3-5 miler and you get to meet other local gals, chat about stuff like menopause and varicose veins or whatever women talk about, and kick back with prizes and refreshments.
You can get all the info and RSVP here. I just did… so obviously they have no standards and let anyone in.
The official deets:
“Come join Road Runner Sports Laguna Hills for the July Run Like A Girl fun run! Enjoy a 3-5 mile group fun run on the Aliso Creek Trail, followed by a core workout, nutrition clinic, raffle, and refreshments.”
The schedule:
5:30pm- Check in and mingle
6:00pm- Pre-run stretch
6:10pm- 3 to 5 mile fun group run with pace leaders
7:00pm- Post-run stretch, Core Workout, and Speaker
7:30pm- Refreshments and Raffle
Everyone who comes gets a raffle ticket and you can get more tickets for doing stuff like trying on a pair of shoes. <-I’ve had to work harder than that just to get a parking ticket.
This girl and this girl have done one of these runs before and said they were fun so I’m forcing hoping they come next week too.
And all you other SoCal bloggers and non-bloggers come too! If you don’t, I’m gonna bequeath one of my ugly beanies to you.

As with all things free, running and including refreshments, I’ll be there – guess my knees are spared. I’d still like a beanie baby though.
Awww man, this sounds fun!! But a plane ticket from NY will completely snuff out that “free” appeal

I went to last month’s Run Like A Girl event and it was really fun! I am excited for next week’s event too!
How fun! My friend and I just ran a fun run called the running the red carpet. Everyone dressed up in formal wear and just had a good time. Love fun not so competitive things like this to get people moving!
I NEVER leave town, except for next Thursday when I scoot out for two days!! ugh…

Uh oohh, looks like I’m getting punched in the knee. . . . . can’t make it on Thursday, teaching Xtend Barre that night. Looks like a fun time though, wish I could go!

OK, I have a meeting in LA on Thursday so if I can get the heck out of that crazy place in time I will be there. We are finishing the move this weekend so OC will be sooo much closer. YEAH

My daughter and I went to lunch with the hubs family… while at lunch watching the olympics (which my husbands family is TOTALLY into) my 6 year old daughter admits she wants china to win!! Only becuase she had a miny girl crush on the china ribbon dancer haha. Spent the rest of the weekend being taught american morals…needless to say I’m happy to be home from our trip to see family.
