Where is my USA bikini?

by SkinnyRunner on August 5, 2012

WORKOUT -

Ran outside 12.25 miles/1:38

flat with a few hills, cool out, no music, early morning

I set an alarm and started running by 6am – love these early morning runs where it’s all quiet and no one’s out and it’s still foggy and cool out.

I had to get my run in early because it’s marathon viewing time!  possibly in costume!  I’m trying to find something to wear last minute but it’s hard when Heidi stole my outfit…

YESTERDAY

Yesterday was my husband’s birthday; we didn’t do too much during the afternoon besides thank God for this international blessing of a day.

And we went out to dinner.

Originally we had reservations to go to a place in Fullerton where I had a Groupon, but we didn’t feel like driving that far so we cancelled our resos and drove over to CDM (Corona del Mar).

We ended up at Bungalow, a steak restaurant he had been wanting to try out for awhile.

We spent an hour and a half chowing on steak, enjoying our martinis and having great conversation.

We decided to make a “SoCal Bucket List” in case we ever leave here one day.

We had a really great time.  It was one of those meals where nothing is extraordinary except your company – we had fun just being together.

and my frizzy horse mane.

Now I’m headed over to Sarah’s for said marathon viewing party.

bub

Marathon colored champagne and USA socks.  boom.

I’m so curious what is on that SoCal bucket list! I live in SoCal too, and am always looking for new places and adventures! :)

I watched the marathon live in London today in the pouring rain, I felt so sorry for the runners! At least the sun came out towards the end!

I was up and running at 6am this morning too. It was amazing. I even managed to run into some friendly cyclists along the way. Go figure.

I loved watching the marathon, those women are so inspiring, and conditions were tough. Great motivation for my training for marathon number 4 in October.

I was up and at ‘em early to watch the marathon. Despite what looked like a tough race for everyone, it was awesome to see the new Olympic record set!

Caught the Olympics while in Hat Yai. Marathon, badminton, sprints – so many heart stopping moments!
