WORKOUT –
Ran outside in Oregon -
10.1 miles/1:25
slower, easy paced, flat miles
I wasn’t planning on running this morning; I was gonna go to the gym but was short on time so I decided to hit the path in front of the house instead.
Check out me, Miss Matchy Matchy with my shirt and Mizunos.
This post is going to be super short and lame as usual: I’m off to get my hair done and don’t have much time.
But if you want, you can check out a beautiful picture of me here. We had a sleepover at my nephew’s house and thankfully, the jail let me out on work release.
And if you really wanted to see my fug mug, you could go pick up the July issue of Fitness magazine… just sayin’.
And no, that’s not me on the cover. I wish.
TO DO
Here’s your to-do list for the day, yeah we have homework around here.
1. JUST MOVE
It doesn’t have to be a 10 mile run. Do a 30 min yoga DVD, go for a stroll with the kids or just a few minutes of stretching and ab work during commercial breaks.
Just do something to move your body; you’ll feel better, promise.
2. EAT WELL
It’s the weekend so you’re going to indulge a little as you should (I’ll be having ice cream birthday cake and a little bubbly at some point) so balance that out today with some good-for-you healthy foods that you like.
Don’t like kale or broccoli? Don’t eat kale or broccoli. Eat some greek yogurt with peaches cut up and dusted with cinnamon, nutmeg and honey. Point is to eat something that’s good for you and that you enjoy.
{The crab salad that my mom made for me the other night; she handpicked the crab that my dad caught}
3. LIVE WELL
Laugh, have fun, enjoy yourself. You only get one today so use your time wisely.
{I just can’t get enough of this beauty}

I haven’t commenting much lately bc I’ve been reading on the fly but I’ve been here! I llooveee your parents view! Insane. I also love this post! Perfect to-do list for everyday!!!!! Nice to be reminded of it though for those days you slip off track!
That is quite the lovely overall/work release program outfit! Will I see you picking up trash on the interstate later today?
if i can get off kitchen duty and get my leg shackles loosened, ill definitely be picking up trash, for sure. wave to me when you see me.
Loved this post for some reason! It’s a beautiful day here in Idaho and it’s good to be reminded of the simple things to be the best we can be…or at least try a little everyday!
Inspiring post! I am totally setting this donut down and getting my act together. Yeah, it’s pouring down rain here in the beautiful PNW, but no bigs. I’m going to do this thing. Thanks for the to-do list!
Great advice and looking great in the blue!
Did a joke go over my head, or are you really in the new Fitness mag?? If yes, get a scanned pic up in here!
its actually not a joke. i know, crazy. they must really be hurting for content.
So cool! Can you tell us more about it? Are you in an article or getting interviewed or what? I’d only go out and buy the magazine if I knew I’d get a good dose of SR!!
its not much, just a short little blurb, like one sentence and a headshot.
Stupid model stole my 4th of July outfit idea, guess I will have to use my back up Mu-Mu.
The crab salad looks awesome! The only time I’ve ever had crab in my life was when we caught some (accidentally – we’re bad fisherwomen!) when camping and roasted them over the campfire. Please scan the page you’re on in Fitness magazine! I’d love to see/read!
This is definitely some homework I can get behind and participate in!!! Whoo hoo!!
Great to do list, easy to follow. Congratulations on the fitness magazine!!
Great advice and way to go with the magazine. I’m going to have to go buy a copy and check it out!
Hehehehe…I did about 15km (slightly less than your 10 miles) this morning…but I was much slower (1:22). That was the plan since tomorrow is the KL Marathon (http://www.kl-marathon.com/). Hoping I don’t “die” out there. Have a lovely weekend ahead.
God, i love your posts. that is all. have a FAB weekend!
Hope you’re celebrating TITLE IX today!
I LOVE HOPE SOLO ON THE COVER!
Love the tips! SO true
Off to tackle em’ hehe
Got my homework did…ran the RnR Seattle half this morning as did my daughter, niece, nephew, and bro-in-law…the hubs pounded out the full 26.2…showoff! I’m sure there will be too many crappy race day pics to choose from. Met my goal…finish before the hubs does! Yay me! Thanks for the inspiration (and giggles). Gotta admit I’m teetering on blog-stalker status…
I’m jealous of your running weather. If I wore that outfit right now, I’d melt, even if I was indoors with the AC on. It is hot here!
