Hey! I’m Charissa from Colourful Palate! I’m a health-crazed individual that likes to run and workout. I sing for a living. I also eat chocolate for a living.
I began running around 3 years ago…and I’ve run 2 half marathons, a 10k and 5k, and then this summer I ran my very first full marathon! I even roped in my parents and my sisters to join me! They ran the 5k, my brothers ran the half, and I braved the full. It was an incredible experience!
On my site, I make a ton of delicious post-workout, recovery, and healthy pre-workout snacks and smoothies! I think nutrition is a huge part of being fit and staying fit! But I do a lot of desserts too (with healthy twists) and most of them are chocolate. Chocolate is my love language. My one true love! And without it, I just wouldn’t have many reasons to workout.
I also travel a lot with our music…so I meet a lot of “boyfriends”. This is my latest. He’s stiff-necked, has a horrible sense of style, and won’t go anywhere with me! I’m not sure our relationship will last long.
When I’m not busy eating chocolate, working out, traveling and singing…I love to oil paint, song-write, and waste time on Pinterest pretending to be creative. Feel free to swing by my blog sometime…I love meeting new blog friends! Just don’t ask me to share my chocolate.

You’re a rockstar for still getting 10 miles in even though you’re still not feeling great! I will remember that to motivate me next time I’m not feeling 100% and considering using it as an excuse to veg and miss a run

I CANNOT believe it’s been 14 years since Titanic (and I was…achem…a sophomore in h.s.). I can’t wait to go see it, although I can’t get my bf to go with me (some things never change, lol)

Is Yogurtland a good cure for colds? I have one too and am craving some cold goodness! You put me to shame though… I did not run because I’m a big baby.

I hate lingering colds that won’t go away. You feel mostly better but there will be one little symptom like a cough or running nose that stays for weeks. Ugh!

We just went and saw the titanic exhibit in Vegas and now I want to see the movie again. I can’t do 3-d, though, the new 3-d makes me so dizzy!
Yeah I didn’t like Titanic the first time (cue gasps…yes I realize I’m in the minority) so I probably will not see the 3D version.
