After my treadmill run this morning, Katie came over and we went on a “family” walk. All we were missing was Merrick.
We walked 2.7 miles, got coffee and just reveled in our awesomeness.
VALENTINES DAY and RACES
A couple people have asked me if I’m running the IMS Arizona Marathon in Phoenix this weekend. Yep, that’s the plan. I’m flying up to Oregon tomorrow for a family funeral, but after that my mom and I are going to Arizona for some girl time. Or as I call it, keep Nordstrom in business time. Hopefully I can get my bib in time for the race since we fly in late Saturday night.
Since I’m leaving on the day of love, Jaybob and I are celebrating tonight.

And you won’t believe what he got me: a new diamond ring to match my engagement ring!!
I have the best husband ever!!!
Just kidding. That’s an old ring. and it’s not a diamond. Joke’s on me because all I got was a jar of pickles. seriously. and I had to pay for them.
Every year I reuse the Yorkie Valentine’s bag and fill it with candy for Jabe, and every year he stuns me with something that takes my breath away… like 5 lbs of pickles.
at least they’re Vlasic and not Walmart brand.

I see you celebrate like we do. I asked Colin what we were doing for Valentine’s day and then answered my question with, “oh, I have run clinic that night, guess I’ll be running…” And I just told him to look for sale candy at the store. Romance is alive and well on our 12th V-day together!
My 12 year old son is a pickle addict who particularly Joneses (sp?) for the Vlasics. I bought that huge jar for him at WalMart one day thinking that my Best-Mother-In-The-World award was in the bag for the year … and he said the pickles it he big jar aren’t as good. WHAT!?? I will look forward to your report as to the quality of the large-jar Vlasics. This is important stuff!!! Sorry you’re heading to a funeral, but happy you get to see your Momma.

You can arrange to pick up your bib morning of for an additional $20. The expo is a pain in the butt, I live on the opposite side of the valley and will have to drive all the way back again early the next morning.
