After my run this morning, I went over to New York New York to a blogger breakfast at America.
The food was good but the company was terrible. I kid, I kid.
Kristi, who lives in Vegas and is running the half tomorrow.
Chris and Ben who are from England and rowed across the pond to run the marathon tomorrow.
Alisha and Shannon who know my sister-in-law Marlie. Sing it all together now, “It’s a small world after all…”
And the one and only, Cely:
She’s a special one, that girl.
After coffee, eggs and lots of laughs, I walked over to the expo via the Venetian, Palazzo and 35 other casinos because I didn’t know where I was going. You’d think I’d learn after doing the race for 3 years.
The expo was pretty crowded but I was able to grab my bib very quickly. There was just a ton of people in the expo booth area shopping and checking out all the goods which really crowded up some of the walkways and got a little crazy.
I didn’t stay long because I’ve been to 40hundred race expos, and I was hungry and had places to be. Pit stop at Chipotle and then onto the Ghiradelli store for another blogger meet up put on by Janae.
There were so many people who came; it was blogger insanity. Here’s the spread of pics that I took and I missed about 3/4 of the people, but don’t fear, I’ll just steal other peoples’ pictures.
Afterwards we checked into our room at the Cosmopolitan – it is sweet.
The crystal bar that’s called The Chandelier. so tricky.
Another silvery crystaly bar.
I’m not exactly sure why we got 2 beds… I must have been mad at Jabe when I booked the room.
Looking into the bathroom or the toilet room, whatever that’s called. I really dig all the modern, bold wallpaper.
Looking through the glass walled shower. I really hope the people in the hotel across from us didn’t bring their high powered binoculars…
Even the hotel stationary is superswanky.
The bar cabinet thing looks like a trunk so I had to take a picture.
Tonight we’re going to a show so I gotta get myself together.

Gahhh, you are having so much fun!!! I am jealous. But not jealous of the marathon you are sprinting.
Looks like fun! Tear it up in Vegas!
I just wanted you to know how much i enjoy your blog. I look forward to reading it everyday so i can laugh and keep motivated with my running
Ahahah we stayed in the Cosmopolitan for a work event. Good thing my roommate was a friend because we learned the hard way that the shade you can draw over the shower is see through too!
I absolutely love you SR! That’s all.
awh thanks! you guys need to come back out to the west coast.
Have a great time!
I LOVE clicking on my bookmarked “SkinnyRunner” tab and seeing all your updates. I’m SOOO glad you post daily and sometimes several times a day. I teach school and during my lunch break everyday I sneak off to check your blog. I love your stories and fitness info. I’m more of a strength training girl but do hit the pavement every now and then…I have shin splints but thanks to you, I’ve remedied that with your recommendation for the Zensah compression sleeves!!! Keep on blogging and I’ll keep on reading!!!!
thank you!
Wow, I would have signed up for the marathon if I knew I could have chased either of those Brits!
Hey SK, I am staying at the Cosmo now too! Curious as to what show you saw and what your thoughts were on it. Have you ever seen ZUMANITY? We saw it tonight and it’s an eye full for sure. But my favorite show is La Reve!

What?! Hungry Runner Girl, SR, Blonde Ponytail, and Haute Running Mama all in one place?! This makes me so freaking jealous it’s not even funny.
Love that room and I SO wish I was able to run the half…next year for sure!! Vegas is where we adopted my sweet 4 yr. old Sophia, I had to stay there for 16 days, so as much as I hate crowds and all…Vegas has a special place in my heart. Not to mention I love the shopping, shows and food.
