I love coffee. It’s part of the reason I’m such a radiantly happy morning person.
I don’t know what my deal was this morning but it’s probably due to my Heidi braids.
I buy Kirkland brand French Roast beans from Costco and sugar-free vanilla creamer; that’s my deal. That’s how I like it. Don’t mess with a good thing.
I actually like the Safeway off brand creamer better than International Delight but this was on sale.
But every couple months I pull a bonehead move and buy some sort of flavored coffee that I just know is going to be amazing. And it never is.
I don’t even like flavored coffee – it always has a weird aftertaste, but I end up buying a bag like I did the other day and then am stuck drinking something gross.
And that doesn’t taste like an Almond Joy either. blarch.
Are you a flavored coffee drinker? Am I just buying the wrong brand? Anyone have a good flavored coffee recommendation?

I do the exact same thing and always end up hating it. I don’t like flavored coffee, but when the sign says almond, hazelnut, vanilla, yummy goodness I think yumm that sounds good; I have to have it. I take a sip and spit it out everywhere.
And btw, how did I miss you yesterday?! I was standing at the finish line forever since I get to go to races and just watch instead of run them these days. Must have been that witch costume.

I love love love coffee.. but you’re right, there’s something perfect about ORIGINAL. I’ll occasionally get a flavored coffee but the problem is when they make it TOO FLAVORED. What I love is this coffee bar we have where there are like 20 diff flavors of coffee… I fill up half with original/artisan/dark french roast then add a bit of a featured flavor like S’mores or Snickerdoo.
Once I used a Hazelnut flavor in a 7-11 and it was so gross I threw it away. What a waste!
I HATE flavored coffee too. You’re right about the after taste. I usually just add some cinnamon to the coffee grounds before brewing. It flavors it just enough and doesn’t taste gross.

My favorite flavored coffee is Dunkin Donuts Cinnamon Spice, but I’m not a big fan of coffee creamer. I just use 1% milk and a splenda.
I always try flavored coffee, but always hate it.
I love flavored creamer though.
I’m am obessed with coffee! I drink like a pot a day. I’ve pretty much tried all the flavored creamers and coffee mate’s Italian Sweet Cream IMO is by far the best. You should really give it a try! I can barely drink coffee without it
The only GOOD flavored coffee I have had is from the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. Those people know how to do it. Although it always tastes better there than I when I make it myself. They must have magical coffee pots. Or maybe my cuisinart needs cleaned. Hmmm. I usually go with a french roast w/FF half/half. I have a hard time finding flavored creamers that don’t leave a bad after taste.
So excited for you and your marathon weekend. Feeling just slightly (ok uberly) jealous!!!
Not much of a coffee person. I’m kinda into the Green Tea with Honey right now. I bought some cranberry honey from Tomah, WI and it’s delicious!

I really love the Bailey’s Coffee Creamer.
The only flavored coffee that I like is Dunkin Donuts. All of their coffee is amazing. It’s all I drink anymore.
I’m all about Don Francisco Hazelnut Coffee. Ever since I tried hazelnut roast in Hawaii, I’m a sucker for it. Happy Halloween!!

godiva makes an amazing one but at $12 a bag, it’s an indulgence!
I’m a big Amaretto flavored creamer kind of gal but for some reason my grocery store stopped carrying it errrr!! I guess I could use the amaretto liquor and just be all tipsy in the morning but that wouldn’t work out too well with my employers. Darn it!

LOOOVE COFFEE! I usually just drink the crap at work because it’s free and I’m cheap. Its some local brew. Anyway.. I fix’er up with fat free half & half and a splash for sugar free Torani vanilla syrup. It’s amazing. If you wait for the coffee to chill, in the freezer then add the fixins it makes a nice iced ‘latte’. Bottom line, leave the flavoring to the syrup, not the grounds!
I am SO with you on the flavored coffee thing. It is always always ALWAYS disappointing to me! When I worked in a PR office some of the girls would always do a cup of flavored coffee and it was so so sad to me

I absolutely love coffee too, but am typically to lazy to make it in the morning before work…especially when I can’t even seem to get out of the door on time! My fav brand is Caribou Coffee based out of Minneapolis, MN. I also try to stay away from the fake creamer and go with soy…mmmm, delish

I always buy new coffee flavors thinking they’ll taste like heaven and they never ever do. BTW I almost bought the Amlomd Joy creamer… but now I definitely won’t (which is a good thing) Less money bought on random food items = more money to spend on useless things like JWoww’s tanning lotion or Snookie’s slippers.

I feel the same way about flavored coffees. Something is always a little off no matter how much creamer or sugar you put in. The only one that I’ve liked so far is the Mudslide flavor for the Keurig machines…it has just a slight hint of chocolate.

i don’t mess around with my coffee….currently i use maxwell house / french roast….its the perfect blend and I throw in a dash of skim milk and sugar. pppeerrrffeecctt!! I can have a whole pot to myself…yes I need to cut down. I don’t like playing around with flavored coffee…but if I do then i’ll go safe and try anything vanilla or caramel. And just the other day, I didn’t have any milk left so I used a bit of my daughter’s chocolate TruMoo milk….not too bad! oh and BTW….love the Heidi braids…. 
Flavored coffee gives me a headache and it always smells way better than it tastes. The only time I can drink it is if it’s mixed with reg. coffee.
We are fans of Eight o’clock coffee in the french vanilla flavor. We add a little bit of splenda and fat free french vanilla coffee mate. The sugar free coffee mate is so heavy and we are NOT fans! If we can’t find the eight o’clock, we get Dunkin’ Donuts or Folgers in the vanilla flavor, but eight o’clock is the fav. We also find it for buy one, get one a lot, so we stock up. The coffee mate is 3 for $5 this week with a coupon from the paper, so we have stocked up on that as well!! I LOVE my morning coffee!!!! It helped me kick the diet coke habit!!!!
I don’t know if you have a heb grocery store near you but their snicker nut (I think thats what it’s called) coffee is my absolute favorite!!
Costco actually has a really tasty french Vanilla coffee that I buy all the time. Maybe you can’t get it in your Costco

I can’t drink coffee without milk and I add cinnamon and vanilla powder to every cup. I can do without but it’s just how I do it.
Green Mountain coffee, pretty much any flavor. My favorite is French Vanilla, but I also like Pumpkin Spice, Golden French Toast, Island Coconut. All with cream and sugar. Yum-o. I like GMC’s Vermont Country Blend, you should try it…

I am a coffee snob, and that Kirkland House Blend is my #1 choice! I try other things, but always come back to that. I occasionally put Half n Half in it, but I am a black coffee kind of girl!

ok, speaking of “braids” it’s my experience that since i have long hair, my previous hair dresser used to always tell me to put my hair in a braid when i went to bed. i do! this prevents my husband from accidently sleeping on it.
I buy the Kirkland coffee beans from Costco also, but I get the Espresso Blend. I love flavored creamer but I usually switch it up. My fav (which ID discontinued in my area! B@$t#rd’s!!) was Cinnamon Hazelnut…. If I do flavored coffee it is usually Dunkin Donut brand! I’m into the Pumpkin one right now!
Ugh, I bought that Almond Joy creamer a few months back and was so disgustingly disappointed with it! Greene Mountain has the best flavored coffee I’ve ever tasted. Ever.
