Don’t hate me ‘cause I’m beautiful

by SkinnyRunner on June 19, 2011

This morning we went to the 10:30am service at Christ’s Church of the Valley; it’s a non-denominational church my parents go to when they’re in town.  And it’s big – each weekend over 15,000 people attend one of the 10 services.

They recently opened a new campus in Surprise, AZ, which is closer for us than the main one in Peoria.

Short dress + windy day = Hello, God’s creation!

The message today was about manhood, masculinity and what it means to be a true man – having compassion, love and putting others’ best interests before their own…  and having Ryan Reynold’s abs.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thanks to RunningofftheReeses, I now am even more jealous of that famous derriere, Pippa.  She completed a 50 mile duathlon: 20 mile run and 30 mile bike ride in Scotland.  Girl is unstoppable.  And highly hate-able.
article-2005273-0C9F1FA800000578-60_306x897article-2005273-0C9F812300000578-719_634x770
If you magically traded, would you rather be Pippa – rich, young, fancy-free and one rockin’ bum or Kate – princess, wedding of the decade, married to the future King?
Now that I know Pippa runs more than 5k’s, I’m going with her.  Back down, JLO.
Pippa!! Definitely! Both are gorgeous but Pippa can do pretty much whatever she wants! Like race a duathlon and not look sweaty!
Pippa is a ROCK star, lucky bitch does not have to take her own workout pics!
I totally want to be Pippa.
I would totally pick Pippa! Kate’s got a ton of pressure on her and Pippa’s got a pretty charmed life without the prince and carriage deal. :)
Stephanie June 19, 2011 at 3:07 pm
Pippa! Fo sho. I thought she stole the show at Kate’s wedding too!
Tara June 19, 2011 at 3:11 pm
Pippa! For sure! She can chill with a princess when she wants and do all that royal stuff or she can just go get her run on… She lives a pretty charmed life!
Definitely Pippa!!
one million percent Pippa! I’d never want Kate’s life. Pippa truly scored on this deal.
Definitely Pippa! When I saw she did a 5K, it wasn’t a big deal, but I’m impressed with this race. Plus, she looks way better than I ever do while running.
Being Pippa sounds like more fun. I don’t know if I could deal with the stuffiness of the royal family on a day to day basis.
Totally Pippa. None of that Princess pressure and formal life! I’ll take the mega-athlete gorgeous and still going to be extremely well-off sister, thank you.
Definitely, Pippa! She has some serious arms too!
Those mega-churches are intense. We don’t have them around here, but they are all over MI where I went to school. My church here has like 300 members and it’s held in a converted flower nursery lol.
I would much rather be Pippa. I feel like if I was Kate, I wouldn’t be able to do anything and I’d have to be so formal all the time.
Pippa all the way. I’m totally down for being known as a badass.
Leiane June 19, 2011 at 4:31 pm
I going to say Kate on this one. Kate is perfectly beautiful with a figure to die for, has a darling husband AND access to one of the largest jewelry collections on the planet. Now Pippa is hot, but KDutch has the whole thing locked down!!
Exactly! I thought I was going to be the only one! I <3 Kate!
Pippa fo sho!!! And then I could run 20 miles and still look gorgeous!
Holy 10 services? I thought our pastor was pushing it with 5!! I can’t imagine 10!!
Love that Pippa rocked the duathlon. Awesome!
Pippa! I love when famous people do athletic things! They’re in the spotlight, so they automatically inspire, plus it edges me closer to normal every time, haha.
Love your little church dress. I’d totally Pippa if I had to pick between the two of them.
Pippa! I don’t think I’d handle all the rules in Kate’s life well ;) Gorgeous dress lady! I have never been to a church that big either, imagine it would be interesting!
Pippa, of course. She has the amazing fun of being “part” of the royal family to enjoy parties and it all but still have her personality and work she loves. Also she can kick a$$ with athletics to get the bum the world loved at the wedding.
sounds like a wonderful sermon. Very thankful for those men in our lives. Especially the father up above!
Pippa. I’d rather have a nice butt, plus I’m not a huge William fan.
Voting for Pippa!
PS, thanks for your comment in your earlier post about today being a hard day for some of us. That was very thoughtful and supremely kind-hearted.
I’m gonna go with Pippa. Not as much pressure and still lots of attention ;)
PIPPA! All the benefits without the pressure .. and an amazing body!
Kate. Definitely Kate. She taught Pippa everything and probably runs 22 miles just for fun. And, IMHO I don’t think Pippa won the show at Kate’s wedding… Def made it interesting but did not steal the show.
Why even bother discussing going to church/God if your blog is going to be full of vapidness… “hateable” ?
awh just a joke. just playing around but obviously not being very funny.
i cant hate someone i dont even know.
Just discovered your blog, and would love it if you popped by mine sometime.
Hm, Pippa is cool but I def think I’d rather be the future queen!
You looks awesome in the dress! Those are some hot, tan runner’s legs you’ve got!
I think I would need to know more about William and Kate’s relationship to decide but I’m kind of partial to Kate. Pure speculation of course…I’m happy being me! Well, most of the time :P
Well, in regards to that comment about vapidness, I’m sure some of us got the joke.
I would definitely want to be Pippa, just because she seems to have more freedom, and less of a bald baldy as a hubby.
Kate. I want to be Kate. I REALLY want to be Kate.
Reply
amy June 20, 2011 at 6:42 am
a) you can blog about whatever you want and b) you have proven over and over that you are loving and kind and c) MOST of us totally get your jokes. Love ya, SR!
I vote, Pippa. 1) Being married to a future King just seems like way too much pressure for me. 2) I think Harry seems like more fun that Wills, anyway & he’s WAY cuter – for a ginger-boy.
I’d much rather be footloose, fancy free and participate in triathlons (ok, so I know Pippa just did a duathlon…just saying…I like tri’s better :-P )
