WORKOUT – Ran in Dana Point 11.1 miles/1:33, few hills, stairs, no music, relaxed run
Walked the dog – 2 miles
Another post office trip, another run in Dana Point. No complaints here because it was gorgeous today and it’s one of my favorite places to run.
I was going to wear my new SR shirt but I spilled coffee on it before I even put it on. Thought about selling it to some unsuspecting soul, but even I’m not that evil so I washed it out.
I brought my camera along today and took some fabulous pictures if I do say so myself.
I started in Dana Point and ran around the harbor and then headed north to Salt Creek beach and back.
The Costco tank top – becoming a fast favorite. Go get yourself one. I’m gonna go buy more colors I think.
Living close to the ocean we get June Gloom which might not be great for laying out, but it’s perfect running weather: 60’s with a little sun, a little fog.
And then I saw it… our dream house.
I’ve mentioned it before on here, but sometimes I play a game where I pick whatever house I think Jaybo would most want to buy. It’s actually pretty easy – you just pick the house that most resembles a glass box and you got it right.
As I ran by the front of this beachfront modern mansion, I realized that it wasn’t just JJ’s dream home, it was mine too:
The top circular floor with the open floor-to-ceiling doors is a home gym! I died and went to exercise heaven. Can you imagine working out with a direct view of the Pacific Ocean and the ocean breeze cooling you off?!
Only a slight upgrade from the dank gym with the fans that circulate just enough air to deeply inhale your neighbor’s treadmill sweat stank. and maybe get a free drip on you.
Would You Rather…
Rub your face in some dude’s sweat like Ben Stiller in Along Came Polly
OR
Drink a sip of your own urine (you can mix it with whatever you want)?

Glad you like the Costco tanks, too! I really want to buy more too!!
How much urine are we talking here? At least it’s mine.
That IS a pretty amazing house! And I’m so jealous of your weather. NC’s weather right now is in the 90′s…not optimal running weather.
Would I rather? It kinda depends…is the ‘dude’ that is sweating that hairy and fat? Or is Bradley Cooper? ‘Cause it kinda matters. If he’s fat and hairy…I’m drinking my own urine and I won’t even mix with it anything!
Love your blog!
he’s got bradley’s face but jack black’s stomach…
for bradleys face it might be worth it!
Oooh. tough call. I’m going with the sweat, though. Just for the face!
Ahhh that’s a dream gym! I always see houses with huge exercise rooms in my neighborhood and get super jealous.
I bought one of those Costco tanks (green) and already fell in love with it. Thanks for the recommendation!!
HA! “you can mix it with whatever you want.” I like you, but not that question
.
That house is completely incredible, I am in total envy!
Good to know about the Costco tanks — I love Costco but was a little weary of buying their clothes.
I want to live there too! What a beautiful house.
I’d have to go with drinking my own urine. I never thought I’d say that.
That is a cute tank. I may actually have to bug my sister to take me to Costco since I never bothered to join.
Gorgeous house!
Love the Costco tank, I want to get one, but am afraid that would imply that I actually worked out…
Both of the would-you-rather’s sound way-nasty. I’m taking a pass
Umm sweat? Look at those SR legs!! Woo woo! Supermodel skinny!!
How does the support hold up in the Costco tank? Every “built in bra” top I’ve ever bought isn’t enough for the ladies to feel comfortable, so I always wear a sports bra too if I’m going on a run. I’m not even that well endowed!
def wear a sports bra! there isnt a built in bra with this one so unless you want black eyes, go with a bra. or at least bandaids.
Ugh, gross. I would rather rub my face in some guys sweat. Blech. Where did you come up with this would you rather?
That home is absolutely gorgeous! I’m actually in the process of house hunting, and I keep going for the ones that I know are impossible. Figures! Who says a starter home can’t be a dream home?
I think I’m gonna go sweat all the way on this one…
Who takes the pictures of you? Jaybo, some random stranger, a jogging partner, or do you carry a tripod along everywhere?
me with a self-timer
oh that is an awesome house. I’d run by that everyday. I wonder who lives there! and I don’t think I could ever drink my own urine. at least I hope not!

p.s.
for some reason all my comments are going to spam when I sign in with an email. ugh.
It looks like you have some amazing scenery to run by….and I guess I could live in that house, I mean if I HAD to….
If you move there, you would probably need to hire a maid…. I am of great cleaning use! Plus I know my way around a kitchen, so I would make great live in help. Just let me know when you move and I’ll have my bags packed!
I love Along Came Polly! and that scene totally disgusts me!! that’s a tough call?!
thx for the recommendation for the costco tank, it’s on the list

Safe and Happy Running
although that scene totally disgusts me, i think i would take the sweat over drinking my own urine. it makes me gag just thinking about it. bulghhhhhh!!!
my SR shirts arrived today! made me all giddy and excited to knock out some miles this week! now i think i need a hot pink headband to complete the look!
G-ROSS! I dont have an answer for that one…..
The tank looks fab on you! Only if we had a costco
I would absolutely LOVE to have a gym in my house period but to have that view toooo IM SOLD. What its prob just a couple, hundred MILLION right?!
I live down that way in Dana Point, and actually that big house on the beach with the gym is the Club House for that neighborhood. Pretty sick huh? But yeah supposedly that “house” is for the neighborhood to use. Must be nice. All those houses are sweet. The land starts bidding at over 2mil. JUST the land. Crazy.
Is that a running skirt? I have one in black but I want to get some other colors… Any good suggestions?
Best of luck with the dream house
Ewww girl where do you come up with this stuff? Seriously, If I had to drink my own urine it would be to survive some horrible disaster!
I’ll take your gloom any day.
Oh and I’m pretty sure I’d rather have the urine with some tea. Cover it up with LOTS of sugar. Sweat is just nasty.
What a dream house!! Thanks for the tip on the Costco tank.
I would have to say sweat or urine both equally NASTY!!
If it’s that gross dude, my urine. And, let’s get biological for a minute. It was already in my body, a sip isn’t going to really matter that much. I’d chase it with something super fruity and sugary
I absolutely cannot fathom making this decision. I simply won’t.
Glad to hear about the Costco tanks. My tiny daughter wanted one, but I thought it would be ginormous on her. (Hey they added that word – ginormous- to the Oxford Dictionoray so now it’s a real word.) You look teeny tiny so maybe she can wear an S. Unless they had XS at your Costco. They did not at mine.
Immediate reaction is ew…
But then scientific reasoning came into play… urine is sterile. Whereas that dudes pit and pit-sweat are certainly not. So, while the thought of either makes me cringe, I have to go with urine.
Why did you think of this?! I’m always curious on how “the weird” manifests in different people.
i have 2 gross brothers, spend too much time on a boat and am probably part dude.
I occasionally have similar random/weird things pop into my head but I need a DVR for my brain. Because there is no way I’ll remember it longer than 2 minutes to actually blog it.
Ohhh is it gross that I think I would drink my own urine? I am kind of a germaphobe…
Beautiful homes! But if I had that circular place, I highly doubt a gym would be on the top floor. I think I would put my bedroom there to admire those amazing views!!
I would never drink pee! Not even for all the Ryan Reynolds and Bradley Coopers in the world. Ha ha!
P.S. I LA LA LA LARVE my running shirt!
Since I used to paint henna at the shore for the summers, I’m used to getting all up ons some nasty sweaty bodies… I think I’d have to choose that option.
That being said, if it was after a long day of drinking lots of water, I can’t really imagine my urine is anything too terrible other than water and a bit of waste. Maybe mixed in a margarita, or something equally strong, then blended. Then it’s like,
“oh, don’t worry, that urine just slipped in there on accident, nbd.”
I am definintely going with the sweat…I used to work in a care center for the elderly, and there was an older fellow who lived there who drank his own urine on a regular basis. The things we get to look forward to when were old and senile. Yesss.
I guess I’ll go with the sweat. Hopefully it’s someone hot though and not that hairy mess in Along Came Polly. Beautiful house too! I so want a gym at home! However, I’m pretty sure I can’t fit even my yoga mat in my super tiny Philly condo.
I NEED that pink costco running top. I’m hoping they sell it in Virginia too.
Um, you DO work out with a direct view of the Pacific Ocean and the ocean breeze cooling you off. Lucky girl.
Is it just me, or does Jamie Pressley’s calf muscle look sort of odd? Just putting it out there.
BTW Lucas also broke the high school two mile record Memorial weekend at the Prefontaine Classic. He ran 8:29, which I think was like 4 seconds faster than the previous best, but don’t quote me on that. It was pretty phenomenal to watch the whole crowd on their feet for his last lap, cheering him on.
