WORKOUT – Ran 10.5 miles/1:25 flat, no music, relaxed pace
Strength trained – 15 mins
Walked dog – 2 miles
A good run that almost didn’t happen…
I did not want to run this morning, but since I was headed to the post office, I kept going to Dana Point where I planned on doing 8 relaxed miles.
My BFF for the last couple days.
I started at 8:45 min/miles and finished with the last couple miles around 8:00’s. Some things that helped to make it a good run:
*The weather was great for running: 60* with a misty fog.
*The scenery was interesting since I hadn’t ran around the Dana Point Harbor and beach for awhile. Plus there were a lot of people out BBQ’ing and camping.
*I fueled up: the last couple runs I’ve run on an empty stomach and majorly run out of energy. So today I ate half a pack of Clif Shot Bloks (100 cals) before I started running – breakfast of Champions – and the other half at mile 5.
Afterwards I stretched for 15 minutes; I timed it on my garmin so I wouldn’t cut it short.
And then I drove home on the PCH. Normally I go a quicker, less scenic way, but today I thought, Why not take advantage of where you live and your insanely high taxes?!
So I did. And it still wasn’t worth the taxes. but pretty nonetheless.
Once I got home, I forced myself to immediately do 15 minutes of weights – didn’t want to at all, but I pictured Ryan Reynolds and Bradley Cooper were in a fight over who was more beautiful and I had to break them up. Don’t want any cheekbones to get broken…
Works every time.

That second picture on the PCH is the intersection right at my apartment complex. Ha! There are awesome running trails right behind Salt Creek Beach and they head inland, but you can run all along the beach too…fast all the fancy shmancy houses.

Just saw this posting and was wondering why you don’t just print out your shipping labels from PayPal? I use mine for my Etsy shop. It’s really easy and you don’t have to use the Post Office Automated thingy. Just print out, tape on, and drop in a mailbox. Plus you can track your packages automatically.
