(I wrote this post up last week in Phoenix and forgot to post it. Yeah, I’m awesome like that)
Have I mentioned that my mom is an awesome cook who feeds us up like a champ?!
We had tacos for dinner last night with organic beef from Costco.
She even made us a fresh berry pie with blueberries and raspberries that she handpicked!
But I don’t think Button wasn’t really feeling tacos…. maybe he wanted the momma milkshake instead.
I am pretty much a horrible photographer as evidenced once again, here.
My dad wanted to take a posed guacamole picture…
Yeah, baby.
Afterwards we made ‘smores out by the fire and I could not get a great picture for the life of me. I think I might as well hire K to be my photog.

I have a top secret health tip that I’m going to share that you’ve never heard from anyone before, especially celebrities: drink A LOT of water. Yeah, groundbreaking, I know. I’m going to write The Secret 2.
If you are ever around me, you know I always have a water bottle on me. In fact, I collect them like I collect Spanx. My three favorites:
First came the SIGG.
It’s aluminum which makes it super portable, very lightweight and easy to throw in a bag and travel with it.
The only problem is that unscrewing and screwing on the top gets old if you’re drinking it frequently. And it’s hard to clean with the small mouth (it’s not dishwasher safe).
Next is the Starbucks cup.
Jaymo bought this for me in Hawaii, and I love using this at home because drinking from a straw makes it easier to drink more. It’s easy to clean with the wide mouth, and I can throw it in the dishwasher, a big plus.
I fill this cup up at home 5-6 times a day. The one problem is that it isn’t as portable; you can’t just take it everywhere without spilling it.
And then came a new water bottle which is like a sweet hybrid of the two: the G2V zero mass wide mouth water bottle.
Recently The Squires Group sent me a G2V zero mass wide mouth water bottle to try out.
G2V bottles, lids and accessories are environmentally friendly and BPA free.
The Zero Mass line of bottles are vacuum insulated, designed to keep your beverage cold all day.
The single wall, Wide Mouth Bottles are offered in three sizes. BPA free, reusable & recyclable.
Here’s what I dig about this bottle:
- It’s double insulated so your drink stays cold but the outside of the bottle isn’t. (I had ice cubes in it the other night – were still not melted in the morning!)
- It’s portable; the straw easily flips in and seals up tight so you can throw it in your bag and go. I brought it to Phoenix with me in my purse.
- It has a straw to sip from and inside the bottle so you don’t have to tip the bottle up.
- The wide mouth is easy to clean, love that.
So it’s kinda like the best of both the SIGG bottle and my Starbucks cup – straight up radness.
The double walled wide mouth bottles (like I have) hold 520mL and cost $32.99. If you’re looking for a cheaper option, there’s also a single walled bottle that starts at $15.99 and comes in 3 different sizes.
Oh, I forgot to mention, the bottles are made of 304-grade stainless steel. The dirty fingerprints are an added extra.
Here’s what I know:
1. Water is vital to all your body processes, from running well to good skin. Your body needs water. period.
2. Reusable plastic water bottles aren’t the best earth-friendly choice and the BPA in them isn’t good for our bodies.
3. Get your water in however works for you… carrying a gallon jog around, using a chart system to count the glasses, refilling the same glass, etc.
(It was brought to my attention that the G2V made an appearance in my modeling show, rude.)
Here’s what I think about the G2V bottles:
1. $32 is expensive for a water bottle. Let’s shoot straight: it is.
2. But if you’re like me and always have one with you, I think it’s worth it. Invest in the things you always use.
For example, I have a really nice watch that I wear it every.single.day, but I don’t have a really nice pair of hoops because I rarely change my earrings.
3. So you could buy a 3 pack of water bottles from Target or get one very high quality bottle for around the same price.
4. The Squires Group has offered to give one away to one lucky reader! The same wide mouth, double insulated bottle that I have.
All you have to do to enter is tell me,
How do you get your water in?
-Extra entries for talking about the contest.
-Winner will be picked at random on Wednesday.

I carry a nalgene around. It was free and BPA-free, but it’s not the most convenient, as I sometimes spill all down my front. And by sometimes, I mean often.
I get my water from a $2.99 water bottle from Target. I lost my old awesome water bottle, so I’m using this one until I find an acceptable replacement. This would be perfect!!!!
I get my water in daily by carrying my Camelbak water bottle (in purple!) everywhere I go, every single day of the week. I swear by water!
I use a SIGG and I 100% agree about the darn screw cap!
I have a cup similar to your Starbucks one and I like it, but like you said, I can’t throw it in my purse and go! I refill my cup over and over while I am at work. It gives me s reason to get up and walk around every hour or so!
I drink most of my water out of Costco water bottles, but I can fill up my recycling bin in less than a week. Not cool.
I just got one of the cups like yours (#2) at the expo for the marathon I ran on Sunday. It definitely helps me keep up on hydration! And the race was my new PR (3:26) so I love that this cup will be my reminder of this awesome race. At work, I still use a plastic Nalgene… but I try to drink it up fast enough that I avoid BPA’s (probably not rational, but it makes me feel better). This new fella would be great!
I have a SIGG that I love! But I,like you, find it really hard to clean. I carry it with me EVERYWHERE! I would adore a G2V!!!!
Most of the time I carry a Tervis Tumbler with a lid on it…pretty convenient! If I’m traveling, I’ll use a stainless steel bottle to carry water. I always have a bottle of water, no matter where I am!
I have three of the Starbucks cold cups so I can have water in one, iced coffee in the other and a back up just in case one is in the dishwasher
I buy a Smartwater bottle and use it until it falls apart. It would be nice to have a permanent bottle that keeps my h20 cold in the hot car….
I carry my Starbucks cup around with a straw, most of the time it’s not a big deal but every once in awhile I spill. Would love this bottle!
I usually just fill up a Sam’s Choice water bottle several times a day… Lame!
I drink lots and lots of water everyday. At the gym and on the way to work, I drink about 3 Nathan’s handhelds bottles of water. Then at work I have a huge water glass and I drink at least 3 of them a day. I also drink a glass at home for lunch and then a couple at home in the evenings. I love water, obviously.
I have a huge water bottle that I sip at work all day- I probably fill it 3-4 times a day!
I carry around a water bottle everywhere with me also, but I hate to admit that I am an avid user of plastic Aquafina bottles. I’m thinking I could really use this waterbottle
I love carrying around my Insultated Polar Bottle. I think I would love carrying around the G2V Zero Mass Water bottle even more!
I carry a water bottle around everywhere with me. Even around the house – it’s easier to fill a big water bottle than keep refilling my glass!
I have a SIGG water bottle that I try to fill up at least 4 times during my 8 hr shift.
I love, love those zebra chairs!!
Ooo I really want this. I have a Kleen Kanteen sports top bottle that makes a really loud slurping sound whenever I drink from it. Finding the right water bottle is a real problem for me. I have that one from Starbucks too, and love how it always tricks me into thinking I am drinking a fancy iced coffee drink. But alas, the portability makes it a no go.
I carry a 32oz bpa free bottle around everywhere I go. It may be sad, but green tea and water and the ocas. coffee are the only non-alcoholic beverages I drink.
SIGG and a tumbler cup! I drink everything from a straw – it helps you drink more! =)
Ha I am an avid cup collector as well! I always just carry around cups like your Starbucks one. The straw makes it easier to drink more for me.
I have the Starbucks cup like you. It is handy around the house, but not portable like you said. I’m a stay-at home mom, so I drink most of my water while at home. I make myself alternate between coffee and water. I start with my cup of coffee in the morning and then pound 2 cups of water before I can have my 2nd cup of coffee. I drink another 2 before I have another beverage, etc. So basically I alternate between coffee, tea or diet soda with 2 cups of water all day.
I always have a water bottle with me but not a fancy one like that. I would love one!!
I use an intac thermos water bottle and love it since it has the built-in straw, but it’s plastic and I would love to upgrade to the stainless steel!
i really like that g2v bottle, i have the starbucks cold cup that i try to keep filled, i’m really not that good at it though. i agree that the straw makes it easier.
I use the starbuck water cup and still use plastic bottles, so I need that
Your parents are soo adorable and soo in love!! Love their kitchen table!! STYLIN’! Your whole family is a “good lookin’ bunch!!”
I drink H2O from an arrowhead bottle. I know I don’t drink as much as I should but, I try!
I would LOVEEEE to get my hands on this fab water bottle! I get my water in at work by refilling nasty plastic water bottles with our filtered water cooler(thankfully!)
At home, I can use our filtered water and just use a cup and ice. Its so much easier for me to drink colder water, so this would ROCK!
At work I have a 16oz glass I refill and keep track on my desk calendar of how many I’ve had.
On the weekends I use my Sigg
I have (sadly) been using plastic water bottles daily, but I am getting my water in. Have been thinking about getting something more environment friendly and re-usable. This would be perfect!
I carry around my 600mL bottle with me everywhere. I probably refill it at least twice a day. Water is so important!
I have a big water bottle my company gave me with their logo on it that I keep in the office and refill throughout the day. I would love to have a nice stainless one to keep at home and take along on runs. Thanks!
We get cases of water delivered to our office. Not earth friendly at all but free! My goal everyday is to drink 5 – 6 bottles of water while at work and more when I get home
The one you posted sounds awesome and is way better for the environment then my 5 bottles of plastic each day.
why don’t you contact nalgene or sigg or camelbak and see if you can arrange a deal for your office to be supplied with reusable water bottles, and suggest to your boss that the company install a water cooler or filtration system?? my previous company got a bunch of camelbak bottles with the company logo on it for pretty cheap. be the office visionary!
That’s a really good idea. I’ll have to pass that by the “Big Boss Man”,
Thanks!
Talked to my boss. They didn’t go for it… So lame!
New York is not that GREEN. They kinda laughed at me and said we’re not in Portland, Oregon! I told them I was trying to bring Oregon to the East Coast! haha
I get my water from a similar “style” water bottle, but it’s plastic and it was $5 at Marshal’s, so it’s probably leaking BPA into my co-workers that just merely sit near me. It also routinely leaks inside my purse – which was priceless the day a bottle of motrin also popped open in my purse (child proof, what?) and the result was a big orange pasty mess. HOT. So PLEASE choose me! I need a better way to get me 6-8 liters a day!
What a great water bottle! I use an aluminum bottle that I got at the Boston Science Museum. It has a picture of the earth on it with a computer progress bar underneath that says, “Saving…”
During the week my bottle is on my desk at work so I drink around 2 litres a day there. Saturdays are my non running days and I often, often forget to drink enough…
I carry a cheapy water bottle around with me ALWAYS. Would be nice to have an upgrade!
I have a full glass with me at all times at work or at home. Now that I’m almost 9 months pregnant I don’t take a bottle with me when I go out, as my travel companions appreciate being to drive more than five minutes without me having to find a bathroom.
I use a Camelbak water bottle. I always drink more water if the bottle has a straw!
I have multiple intak bottles so I always have one available in case I forget to wash it one night. I would love this bottle. Thinking of getting 2 of the smaller ones for my girls.
I have a cup similar to your starbucks cup that I got from Target I usually have that or a bottle of smartwater with me.
I have a SIGG but it is a pain in the butt sometimes! I drink out of a refillable cup at work, but am not so good at taking water on the go :-/
I always, always bring my huge 32 oz camelbak bottle (that leaks
). I would love another BIG bottle because I drink a ton of water living in Florida!
I am a teacher, and I carry a water bottle with a straw with me all day long! Thanks to handy dandy assistants (my students that want to roam the halls as they replenish my supply), my bottle NEVER goes empty!!
I use a free water bottle that I received from my local running store. It’s plastic and doesn’t keep water cold at all, but I do carry it with me almost everywhere, so I guess it serves its purpose. Would love to have the G2V!
I carry a waterbottle with me every where. It’s usually just a plastic Army National Guard water bottle that a friend gave me for free. I’d love to invest in a nicer water bottle.
i drink water out of my VS waterbottle…adding a little bit of lemon or lime makes water taste much more refreshing!
I get most of my water when I am at the gym. I drink about 30 oz there, and than not much at home except for maybe 15 oz of coffee at home. I have little ones and they like to spill water cups if I have them around too often. I have tried other bottles but they never seem to work. I would LOVE to have a bottle keep things ice cold all day!
if you don’t win and can’t part with $33 – contigo makes some totally unspillable bottles that will laugh in the face of your little ppl.
I have a stainless steel bottle that sits next to me at my desk job and I refill at least 5 times a day.
I’m loving your parents dining set! You guys love your animal prints!
At work I have a GIANT glass of water on my desk at all times, but at home I’m pretty terrible about hydration. I do carry around a Nathan’s water bottle I stole from my husband though.
I use a nalgene bpa free bottle I love but I always find myself buying new ones!! Love this giveaway
My Nalgene (BPA free) is always attached to my hip! I drink a lot of water too
Tweeted about the giveaway!
I carry around a green nalgene BPA free bottle and refill it 2 or 3x’s a day depending. And I use the potty like and 85 yr old.
I have a rather large obnoxious glass with a straw on my desk that I fill up 3 times a day to get my water in. I also have a water bottle that I use when I’m out and about or working out.
I carry a nalgene and a camelbak with me every where I go. I always have water with me and drink it constantly throughout the day. My friends all laugh because I drink so much water!
I get my water in by using the task of filling up my water bottle as an excuse to get up and walk around at work. Not slacking, just making sure I’m hydrated…duh.
I always carry a water bottle around with me. Either my favorite red polka dotted nalgene that I got last year or my big 1L sigg bottle that says make love not landfill.
I am not as good about getting my water in as I know I should be, but I am currently attempting to replace soda with water – for me that is quite a task to take on but I know it is much better for me!!
I have a camelbak water bottle i carry with me all the time! I’d love to try a new one!
I have a Camelbak bottle kind of like that — the straw feature is really nice since (like you) I drink more from a straw rather than gulping it down. I drink tons of water — I fill my 24 oz bottle maybe 4-5 times per day?
I have a child-sized water bottle that my niece got with a kid’s meal at Subway. I refill it a billion times a day. Yes, I stole a water bottle from a child.
We have a water cooler at work that I hit up all day…and at home I always have a big glass of ice water ready to go. This would be handy for when I’m out and about though!
I got my water bottle from the grocery store a while back, it’s ok… but not my favorite. I need to come up with some system for drinking more water because I am horrible about it!
i drink tap water at home – cuz hello! i already pay for that stuff. why would i pay a 200% markup for bottled tap from the grocery store. DO NOT get me started on that crack pot “designer” water market.
i have like 8 bpa-free nalgene or nalgene wannabes. i got a new nalg at rei last fall and the plastic hooky thingy broke – i emailed nalgene and they sent me a new one for free in like 2 days. gotta love that lifetime warranty. i get bottles as gifts and i buy a new one every so often. i have a bottle w/ me at the movies, at church, at work, running errands, in bed, on the couch, the gym (duh), and the mall. i’ve been wanting a stainless steel bottle for a long time tho – just never wanted to spend the clams for one.
I drink water constantly – when I’m home out of a regular cup, but when I’m on the go, out of plastic bottles. I’d love to have an actual, nice water bottle to drink out of instead (and help the environment of course).
I would need a catheter or a diaper if I ever drank that much water!
I keep a huge mug on my desk with water at all times. For some reason I really like drinking out of big mugs? Weird.
I have a cup a lot like yours from Hawaii that I keep full at home. I also take a water bottle everywhere I go. Need to find something that I can just refill though so I don’t waste bottles and money =)
I take a 20oz Sigg to work with me and drink all day on it. I too get tired of unscrewing the lid and have thought about getting a bottle with a built in straw. I also start the day with a glass of water with breakfast and also have at least one glass with lunch and dinner. I would love to try out one of these new bottles!
Nalgene! I usually drink at least two, maybe three of the 32 oz. bottles a day, but I use my Starbucks cup for my iced coffee every morning too. I love that cup!
I have a ton of refillable plastic bottles that I refill throughout the day (Probably 4-5 times). It’s much easier on work days when I sit at my desk most of the day. I find it harder to get my water in on the weekends.
I get my water in by opening my mouth in the shower, sticking my head under that thing on the fridge that shoots water out, and when my 20 month old gives me his sippy cup to drink.
And if you believe that, I’ve also got a trillion dollars I would like to give you.
I carry around a pink nalgene with a 26.2 sticker on it — it’s BPA-free. Only down side is I have to unscrew the top a lot too — would love to win the one with a straw.
I’m much better about getting my water in during the week because I have this mondo-huge bottle that I fill before work every morning and make sure I drink before I leave my desk in the afternoons.
The weekends – not so much. Because this bottle is ginormous, I don’t like to carry it around when I do things. I rely on chugging glasses of water when I’m at home (and remember) to make up for it. It usually doesn’t work out well…
I have a BPA free water bottle with my work logo on it =) at home, I have a tervis tumbler…. LOVE IT.
I have a stainless steel Nathan water bottle that I take with me everywhere. I feel naked without a water bottle on me at all times.
I have a tupperware tumbler that I use. Great for washing but not for on the go.
I keep a glass of water at my desk at work and get up to refill it a couple of times a day which is a nice break from sitting in front of a computer all afternoon!
Ohhh I’d love to have one! I just have a plastic water bottle I reuse at work until it starts to smell (I know that’s gross), and at home we use large plastic cups, like a Rudy’s cup and refill it. Cheap- but it works!
Does that water bottle sweat? That factor always makes me nervous when I throw one into my bag. Right now I use a Thermos Intak bottle, it has a counter on it so you can keep track of how many times you fill it up throughout the day.
nope, no sweating. i think the double insulated walls help with that. i just threw mine in my purse and nothing got damp at all.
I have quite the collection of water bottles, but most are those free plastic ones from races that totally leak everywhere! I could use one of these fancy high tech bottles!
I have a water bottle from Costco that I carry EVERYWHERE with me (but it is plastic. :S)
My last year of college my friends used to make fun of me for bringing my water bottle everywhere but you’re right – gotta get that water in!!
I get my water in by carrying a water bottle everywhere I go! People comment on all the water I drink at work…. only downside is I have to pee a lot, but it’s clear so that means I’m hydrated! (haha, tmi, sorry!)
I use a sigg that is dented and a pain in the butt to clean.
I have a pink Camelbak water bottle that I take with me everywhere! I used to be a bottled water person, but invested in having a drinking system installed at our house about 2 years ago…pretty sure it has paid for itself now. I love the Camelbak but it doesn’t stay cold till I get to the bottom unless I am super thirsty!
I’m pretty bad about carrying water with me, but at work, I use it as an excuse to get up from my desk and walk to the kitchen. At least it gives me a little break
I have a few lovely no-name stainless steel water bottles that I carry around. I typically leave one at my desk and one in the car this way I never seem to be without water. I also love LaCroix sparkling water and have at least one a day. They are a good filler for bored, mindless eating.
I may have a slight water bottle addiction… I refill my camelbak bottle at least 3x a day and take it with me pretty much everywhere I go.
I have a travel mug in my car that my sister bought me (she really thought she was buying me a SIGG but I had to break it to her that it wasn’t) one at work (it says “I’m saving the planet, what are you doing?” on it I love it) and a brita at home. I constantly have water in my hand and rarely drink anything other than water and coffee. I don’t have one with a straw so this one be perfect!
My office buys cases of poland springs water, so i tend to drink a lot of those. I also bring the bottles home and refill them with tap water a few times. Obviously this is a very sophisticated technique if you can ignore the whole BPA, non eco-friendly part.
I don’t !!! I used to be really good but lately I have been seriously slacking on my water intake. This needs to change…right now!!!
Bobble!
http://www.containerstore.com/shop?productId=10027894&N=&Ntt=bobble
It filters while you drink, so if you fill it up at random water fountains it takes out icky stuff that makes the water taste funky.
From my Nalgene – I love it!
i have one of those “starbucks cups” too! I bought mine in walmart though! is it pathetic that i think it makes me look cooler?
Hey!! I use a 3 dollar version of your Starbucks cup from Superstore (yes, I’m in Canada) but I really like the idea of the 2 in 1, I hope I win!!
PS thanks to you, SR I am running my first half marathon on Saturday! Thanks for the inspiration, you rock!
yeah! good luck and rock it out!
There is a very good chance I might vomit during the race out of nervousness but I’ll rock the puke stains like a champ and make you proud!
I keep water at my desk at all times. When I finish the bottle (crappy plastic bottle as it is now) I love having the excuse of refilling it to get up an move around. I also make it a point to take sip of water at every water fountain I pass. It’s almost a ritual to me now.
Honestly,, I don’t get near enough water in..a glass or two at home per day and that it…I am working on changing this,,its too easy to pick up a large diet dr. pepper when out and about,,bad, I know..
My favorite water bottle is one I got in a spa-goodie bag. It reminds me of sitting out by the pool and all the good times I had on that trip! Too bad I put a smoothie in it (and then left it in my car for three… weeks) and now it smells like something died in it.
I use my purple camelbak water bottle every day! It holds so much and the straw allows me to drink more with every sip.
I NEED this water bottle because I just use the plastic ones from the grocery store. I drink water all day long – keep water by my desk at all times. Thank you for the giveaway!
Just wanted you to know, I blogged about your giveaway over at http://www.ponytailsandpavement.wordpress.com
Thanks,
Amanda
I get the most water in by refilling the same glass all day while i’m at home. I have a nalgene, but it is not as portable as i had hoped–doesn’t fit in car cup holders, kind of a hassle to unscrew every time i want to drink (a lot). So this transportation friendly solution sounds awesome for me!
I use a 27 oz Nathan bottle with a flip up internal straw. But it’s a single wall stainless steel bottle…I’d love to try the one you have with the double wall and the wide mouth…cool water all day would be awesome.
I get my water in a huge pink cup from Target that I fill up a zillion times a day at the office. And at home we have a fancy water filter thanks to hubs last job. I just ordered a G2V from Amazon for an upcoming trip.
I use some big blue thing I got at Wal-Mart but since it isn’t dishwasher safe it’s sitting in the sink most of the time. Here lately I’ve had Target brand bottled water at work and I refill one bottle the whole day. Not the green-est but green-er.
I have a lame knockoff Nalgene bottle that I got from Walmart. At least it’s BPA free so I don’t die.
I have been in the market for a new water bottle for a while. Most days, I get my water from a glass (that I refill all day). I’ve been working from home recently, which has made that possible. But I only have an old Nalgene that goes on the road with me (and leaks!!)
When I run, I get my water from my fuel belt!
I do the whole “refill the cup mucho times each day” and switch out cups either at night or in the morning. This doesn’t quite translate to being on-the-go, so a portable water bottle would be great!
I use a purple plastic cup with a straw from target similar to your clear one…I just bought it and carry it around the house with me, but I’d love something more portable!
i drink 2.5 – 3 nalgene (32 oz) bottles each day. i also use the helpful easy sipper insert which makes drinking from the wide mouth much easier…hence, no spills
I love that water bottle! I must have it. It’s really cool they’re letting you give one away.
How I get my water. I have tried many water bottles. I have one with a screw on cap and wide mouth, which was easy to clean but sucks when on the treadmill or walking/jogging outside, as I have to unscrew it repeatedly (apparently, the twisting motion affects my legs, because they either slow to a crawl or stop completely). I have another, slimmer one with a screw on cap. it’s harder to clean, doesn’t hold as much, and STILL has to be unscrewed. At present, I use bottled water (I know, I know), because I like the size (easier to add in a little Crystal Light), or the Culligan water cooler when I’m at work. I sometimes buy jugs and refill them at the store, but they are a pain to keep germ free, and I’d black my own eye (or someone else’s) trying to heave it around with me on my jogging excursions.
It sounds like this water bottle would be perfect for me. I’m keeping my fingers crossed!
I drink 2 large water bottles (the bpa kind from what I just googled, uh oh!) throughout the day, fill and refridgerate overnight at work and repeat the next day.
I’m pretty awful at remembering to drink water so whenever I see water I basically grab a huge cupful x 3 and chug it.
I refill my Ice Mountain bottle about 7 times every day. I also drink about 5 cups of herbal tea. At home, I start off my day with 5 glasses of water. I need one of those bottles!
I blogged about the giveaway! Check it out at http://www.theramblingsister.blogspot.com. Thanks!
I use a Brita Pitcher in my fridge to keep track of how much I drink a day at home but when I am out running errands or away from the house my water intake is horrible.
Where did your parents buy their plates?? I love thme!
I use a Contigo bottle, but it’s far from big enough. I have to fill it 4 times a day!
i dont know, ill ask them and try to find out.
those are sango plates – most dept stores have em but so does amazon with a way better price.
I usually drink 2-3 full large Nalgenes of water a day. This is great, but it’s still the BPA one I had in college. I tried to tell my husband the BPAs might kill me to try to get him to buy me a new one (since I’m cheap), but he said the vodka is probably doing that, not the BPAs.
I drink lots of water…especially in tea..lol! I wish that counted! I do drink one or two bottles a day though. We buy the three gallon ozark jugs and refill. Water gets expensive for us b/c the city water is GROSS so we buy water for everthing!
I drink 8-12 16-oz glasses of water a day! As soon as I finish one glass, I start another! And I never buy water bottles
I used to be very diligent about carrying around my nalgene but i have started to slack lately. Maybe I need a new water bottle to restart that habit…
okay i am bad, but I use the plastic cups by the water fountain at work. but at home I am much better, you know using real glassware instead of killing the environment.
I have the same white Sigg as you (well, not with your picture
) & I do put mine in the dishwasher. I keep it on my desk at work & pound down the water all day long. It ensures I don’t sit at my chair & create further butt spread, and that I get my water in. Double win. It helps that my employer provides cold filtered water in every mini kitchen.
At home, we have a fridge with a water filtration system on the door. I fill up glasses of water all day long. I’m a water addict. Ask anyone in my family. If a waiter is slow on the refills & we’re out for a meal, I’ll start with my glass, but I’ll work my way around the table drinking other glasses until we get more. I have no shame when it comes to getting my fix.
you can always just print a picture of me out and then tape it on your bottle. like thats not weird.
How I get my water in? Well, I drink about 3-4 liters (I’m Dutch, we do it metric
) of water a day on average. A bit more in summer. Half of my water intake is herbal vennel tea (great detox tea). It works like a charm: if my water intake is low on a day, I’ll immediately notice, so I’m sticking with this plan.
Makes me pee a lot, though… There has got to be a sollution for that problemo…
I have 2 Starbucks like your Venti one that I switch between, but one of them has a candy can straw so I rock Christmas in August sometimes.
I keep saying I need to get a good nice water bottle.
I have a big water jug from when my husband was in the hospital. It holds 32 oz, so I drink two a day while at work.
I also have a reusable Starbucks cup that I love. that and my nalgene
I drink 3 cups of coffee in the morning & water the rest of the day. I reuse my Smart Water bottle at work(not too sanitary, I’m told) and constantly refill my 16oz glass at home, from the fridge.
I too am addicted to water bottles. I have a camleback, nalgene, copco cup with straw, etc. I like a big bottle and I enjoy drinking it when the mouth is smaller. I drink about 3L a day so I don’t like to be filling it constantly!
I’m bad-just plastic water bottles for me:( But you have me thinking I better change my habits sooner than later.
I love me some water bottles! I have a variety, but my Nathan bottles definitely gets the most use. I usually have a filled water bottle with me at all times. Only bad part is having to pee 50 times per day.
Right now I’m using a souvenir cup from seaworld…so obviously I’m in need of a new vehicle for my H2O to my mouth.
I usually get my water in with my Sigg; however, last week on the treadmill as I was taking a sip I dropped the lid which hit the belt and ricochet off, most likely hitting someone in the face behind me. I wouldn’t know though, I got the hell out of there.
Now I have a lidless Sigg
I try to drink (2) 32 oz bottles of water a day. I used to drink 3, which I know is way better for me, but I’ve gotten lazy. I hope I win. But if not, I’m definitely going to buy one of these!!
I refill a plastic water bottle…constantly!…throughout the day. I use the same three or four all week at my desk. Probably not the most HYGENIC way to consume water…but I figure I am not only getting in my water but also building up my immune system!
I drink from a hurricane glass at home. It makes drinking water more tropical, haha.
bpa nalgenes live in my house and on my desk!
sigg takes up residence in my car
I love my Sigg water bottle too but I’d love a new water bottle with a straw on it. Thanks for hosting such a great giveaway, SR!
I use a nalgene bottle with the smaller mouth so I don’t spill all over myself! It’s BPA free and cost me around $10. However, and I know this will sound stupid, it’s bright pink and I think it looks kind of unprofessional at work. A stainless steel one would be awesome!
I have a red, plastic bottle from Wal-Mart that I love! It’s the only thing I drink from. It’s 32 oz and I try to drink at least four a day. What I don’t love is that the ice melts within a couple hours, it sweats and gets everything wet, and I love to drop my water bottles because it gives them character. Until they split open and I have to buy another new one. Stainless steel would save me! After all I have spent replacing this one I may as well have gotten a nice one for thirty bucks!
I use my Sigg…but I completely agree about the small lid being difficult to clean!!
I use the reduce everday waterbottles (comes with five and I keep in the fridge and take them as needed. I also use my Ragnar Relay steel bottle.
I sit on my ass all day at a desk job and have a water cooler in my office – it is all mine! I keep some kind of aluminum bottle on my desk that I refill several times a day. Would love to try one of these bottles. Thanks SR
I have a camelbak BPA free water bottle at my desk that I refill at least 3 times a day. Another bottle in my workout bag and then another one in my fridge at home filled and ready to drink when I get home at nite. Just need one to take with me in my SUV.
I get my water in by having at H20 schedule that has become routine. I have a refillable similar to the SIGG that has a screw on and off top. I always have to finish and refill my bottle at these times:
-on the drive to work
-while waiting for school to start (teacher)
-during my prep period
-at lunch
-on the drive home from work
-with dinner
-before I go to bed.
I try to throw in a few extra bottles in between when I have the chance, usually at home. I like these little benchmarks because it keeps me on track.
I have a super ugly one liter water bottle that comes with me everywhere to get my water. I drink about 2-3 of them. I’d love a better one!
That stainless bottle looks legit! I get my water in by carrying a 1L water bottle on my person at all times. Any lesser volume than that and I find it too annoying to refill so I don’t drink it…which makes no sense, but that’s how it goes. I LOVVVEEEDDD my most recent pink stainless Lululemon “I <3 Running" bottle, but it's now dented beyond recognition, so I'm on the hunt for a new model. Like yours
When I am at my desk, I make sure I always have water. And I try to drink 3-4 big glasses in the morning and the same in the afternoon. I pee ALL THE TIME, but I know it’s worth it!!
I just drink out of a plain old cup that I keep at my desk…not very portable. (And I’ll admit, I usually refill my QT cup with water after I finish some Diet Coke.)
I have a BPA free 32oz Nalgene I use to monitor my water intake. I try and drink ~ 1 around each of my 3 main meals of the day and sip on it to get in a 4th. Some days this works better than others, heh.
Love the idea of the double walled steel! My Nalgene definitely has more of a sweating problem then I do.
Love this post! I’m a water addict too and get really crabby when I’m thirsty. If I forget where my Nalgene is, I totally panic and freak out. Not pretty
I take my Camelbak water bottle with me EVERYWHERE, but would love this insulated one to keep my water cold! Will definitely have to go and buy it if I don’t win it.
I drink water out of my WSU Camelback bottle. It’s nice b/c it has a straw but that sucker has all sorts of nooks and crannies that are hard to clean!
SR funny you should post about this because I buy two 1.5L plastic bottles a week, use them all week, and then toss them. My husband recently asked me why. And I told him I couldn’t find a re-usable bottle I liked. I’ll have to look into the ones you mentioned in your post.
Have a good day
I keep a glass on my desk at work that I refill throughout the day. We keep Costco water in the fridge at home and I usually will refill those a couple of times out of the tap before I recycle them…but I would probably do better to have an actual water bottle that I could wash from time to time.
I have a camelbak water bottle that is always within 2 feet of me. I chug water all day at work just so I can take all kinds of breaks and walk across the whole building to get to the bathroom. My coworkers prob think I insane.
we drink lots of water…don’t buy anything else to drink (save for the occasional adult beverage!) and I drink tea at work!
I get my water in by using my basic Rubbermaid 32 oz water bottle. It’s even missing the cap so I have to be extra careful not to let it tip but it does the job so I keep using it. Someday I might retire it for something better. We have a water filtration system at home so I fill it up before work every morning and then again when I get home at night.
I make sure to chug at least 72 ounces of water a day, but I usually end up with 96 oz. I have a huge 32 oz water bottle (pink, of course) that I always keep at my desk. It’s way easier to fill that 3 times that it is to fill a midget cup or bottle 2,385,923,049 times.
My work gave us all water bottles to promote healthy living so I find myself filling it 4 times a day!
I get my H2O from my 1L King Kong bottle I got free from Universal
I know if I don’t drink, the Kong is gonna get me!
I have several I rotate thru. Currently using one I got from a recent volunteer at speed skating Nike. But could also use a new one. Had my first Click today was good a little to sweet for me but still good.:)
I try to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables for their water content, and then I carry a plastic cup with a straw around and make myself fill it up when ever it gets empty!
I’m a counter. I make it a point to drink 6 of my large Starbucks cups while I am at work and tote my cup or a bottle to every meeting I go to. Then I have a second cup that I fill up at home and make myself drink two of those before bed.
I’m the wierdo who chugs water before bed if I haven’t met my water intakes for the day. Makes for a bad night of sleep but I am rarely dehydrated.
I only drink water or iced tea so I get it in anyway I can! Bottled water, plastic cups at home and the occasional refillable that I tote around in my purse (nothing fancy, it was a freebie at my last race). So I would LOVE a fancy new one!
I don’t get nearly enough water… I don’t drink much of anything.
I do have a nalgene and a nathan aluminum. The Nalgene is too big to lug around and the nathan sweats- not good for the purse!
love this post! I drink tons and tons of water throughout the day I’m soooo thirsty all the time it seems
I drink at least 80 oz of water a day, live getting it in! I have a stainless steel water bottle I use.
What a rockin’ give away…thanks for doing this!
I have a large beautiful glass at work and a bag of straws at all times. Drinking water out of a beautious glass with a straw is far more fun and I just refill numerous times a day from the water cooler.
Outside of work I don’t drink as much because I can’t stand how the bottles get sweaty. So it would be super fun to win this one!
I carry my nalgene around. It’s not ideal – easy to spill and doesn’t stay cold for long. I’ve been looking for a replacement – maybe this is it!!
I have a cheap aluminum bottle that spills when I don’t take fifteen minutes to close the screw top perfectly. I’m pretty sure that I’ve ingested a lot of water as it soaks through my bag, my pants and then the skin on my leg. I also have an old Nalgene, but only use it to take vodka drinks to the park (I love how that wide mouth fits lots of ice cubes). I’m pretty sure that the alcohol kills the BPA toxins. I should probably be a scientist.
ummm i dont? i used to carry a nalgene around or my sigg but the only way i can guarantee that i drink LOTS of water is to use those plastic bottles. weird? yes. and probably very un-eco friendly
i have a water bottle like your #1… and i don’t love it for the same reasons you mentioned! i try to chug a pint glass before i leave the house in the AM too..
I use my 24 oz Tervis Tumbler to get my water in. I am constantly filling that sucker up. One of these water bottles would be super rad!
For the Squires Group contest – I get my water in a water bottle I fill up and drink while I work at one of my jobs. I also always drink water with each meal!
I love that water bottle! I have plastic water bottle I use at work and refill it constantly, but I rarely drink water at home since I don’t have one there-this would be perfect!!!
That is a handsome water bottle! I have a couple of Kleen Kanteens that I refill multiple times throughout the day.
I have two keg cups in my office. I fill them both up with water at the same time, and drink them while I work. I probably refill them each like 5 times.
I have trouble getting enough water at home, though.
i’ve used pretty much every portable water carrier out there–sigg, nalgene, camelbak, tervis tumbler, plastic water bottles, reusable plastic cup with straw similar to #2. i get my water at my office. right now in a tervis tumbler with a straw. the water cooler is right across from my office. so m-f i’m SUPER hydrated. the weekends…depends.
I posted a link to this on my giveaway sidebar.
I carry a Whole Foods water bottle with me at all times, and refill it probably five or six times a day. I cannot stand the taste of our city’s water so I use a Pur filter dispenser in the fridge to keep it cold. I have used the same water bottle for about a year now and my students always make fun of me because its like a permanent attachment on my body, so a new one would be great! I LOVE your blog-you are so real and down-to-earth-but with superhuman running powers….love it!
Quite honestly I don’t drink enough water. I don’t have any excuses just that I don’t think about it. Maybe a new, cool water bottle would help me remember!
I drink my water from a 32oz PINK plastic bottle (apparently BPA FREE)… I drink 2 glasses of water before I leave the house, fill my water bottle up (4 cups), and make sure to have 2-3 cups of H2O at home (during dinner, before bed, etc…)
And of course, EXTRA if I’m working out!
I carry around a 1L plastic Ozarka bottle. I drink a liter with breakfast, another 2 while at work all day, and then another during the evening so that I get in my gallon.
I need the water bottle because I don’t get enough!
I have a metal water bottle from the American Diabetes Association that says “Stop Diabetes” that I got after participating in Step Out this year. Looks pretty funny sitting next to my bag of skittles!
I use an Old Navy metal bottle. have the same issue with screwing and unscrewing top. Totally inconvenient – especially when I’m on the treadmill – tend to spill water all over myself;)
I have one of those large tumblers with sandals on it that my parents got me for Xmas. I refill it a gazillion times at work (which is nice because it forces me to get up and walk around). At home, I have a 32 oz. cup from a soccer game that I fill and sip on here and there.
I have the Starbucks travel cup also and just bought a Bobble (it has a filter in it!). The G2V sounds great, though!
I have been getting more water in lately with my 24 oz Tervis Tumbler. It keeps my drinks cold, but it does spill. I also have been drinking more sparkling water which makes me feel like I’m drinking something special, either that or I use lemon (or Crystal Light). I need a good portable bottle that doesn’t spill and keeps my water cold!
I have a water bottle I keep on my desk at work. I subconsciously sip from it throughout the day even though I don’t particularly love drinking water. Whatever works!
I can be pretty competitive. One way that has helped me drink more water is to involve my coworkers. If I see someone else has had more than more it encourages me to drink up! I looove that G2V bottle…especially the double insulation.
I use a hospital refillable water jug that holds 32 ounces and make sure to drink at least two during the day at my desk job. Lots of trip to the ladies room in my life.
I have one of those starbucks cups too that I keep on my desk at work – it gets refilled about 3 or 4 times a day. At home I have cheap one from Safeway have one that I keep in the frige at home that also has a straw. I drink way more water when there’s a straw involved.
i don’t drink enough water…if i start the day off with a diet coke, i’m doomed. but usually i drink all my waters before i let myself have a DC. this container looks like it would make me WANT to drink water!
I have a sigg my eco friendly brother forced on me for on the go..When I am home the kids take turns pouring mommy a cup of water from the fridge door..they think its fun and I end up drinking plenty
I always keep a full waterbottle on my desk at work. But I’ve been looking for a bottle that will actually keep my drink cold all day!
I have one of those Camelback water bottles with the straw you have to bite on. I feel like you get a lot of water through that bite-y straw, but I really struggle to get my water in during the day. I’m a teacher, so I’m up and moving around all day. Sometimes I stand and chug the rest of it before I leave for the day to just say I finished my 32oz!!
I fill up a disposable water bottle from Trader Joe’s at my office’s water cooler every day. I could really use a more dependable water bottle
i have a Sigg that i use often when i’m out & about. but i agree that the screw top is a pain and the bottle is hard to clean. when i’m at home, i use a glass with a straw — straws make me drink so much more!! i’d love a new water bottle, especially with the hot weather coming.
I buy ‘Dasani’ water from work, 50 cents for a bottle & I reuse it often. I also have a BIG ORANGE Nalgene bottle which I love & I find that I drink more water when I use it but I always forget it
My trusty ole mini Nalgene. Covered in stickers to make it that much more awesome.
I try to stockpile it, like a camel. Unfortunately, I pee so much that I have to resort to the old school plastic water bottle.
I get my water mostly through my mouth – but sometimes I use my nose or butt. Ha ha, JK. I typically use a similar cup/straw combo as your option #2. I keep one at work and one at home. Works like a charm. Alas, the leaking problem so I need to win this giveaway! Otherwise I have sopping wet purses, bags, and sides, everyday. You don’t want that do you?
I have a nakgene that I carry around everywhere
I refill a spring mountain bottle bc it’s easy to drink from especially when I”m running.
I get my water in by a container similar to your Starbucks one. I use it at home and work but have the same issue about it that you do: not very portable. I would love to have one that I can throw in my purse and go.
That water bottle is perfect for me! I carry around a regular plastic water bottle that I refill for about a week before buying a new one. I know it’s not the most eco-friendly, but I hate unscrewing the lids of the aluminum kind.
I have a 24oz Camelbak that I carry with me. Easy to keep track of how many ounces I’m drinking every day!
I have a plastic Contigo water bottle that I got from Costco. I carry it with me everywhere!
I have been getting a lot better at drinking more water since I have increased my weekly mileage. I go through some bottled water because I hate our tap water here in Indiana. But I can manage to get the tap water down if it is cold. On my long runs I have a Nike strap on water bottle that I love!!
Hey SR!
I do the Starbucks cup and I love it. and you’re right, drinking from a straw makes it go down much easier!
On a side not, I noticed you mentioned The Secret…i’m kind of new to your blog (love it!) and don’t know if you’ve mentioned The Secret before. I have read both The Secret and The Power, if you have I would love to know your take….I don’t want to be too personal or in your business…just wondering!
ive never read it actually so i have no idea about it, sorry!
I have a 24oz travel mug on my desk. I hardly drink plain water and prefer herbal tea, but I am pretty sure that the double insulation that keeps your drink cold, would keep my drink warm!
I have a large starbucks cup that I drink out of all day. We also pay for a Kentwood water system in our office, which is a convenient and easy way to make sure I get a lot in.
I gave up diet coke this year, so I’m adding tons of water!
easy. i only drink water unless i am drinking wine. True story! I have two Siggs Water bottles with screw caps, but am in desperate need of the bottle you are giving away for use while running.
I drink out of a 1000ml nalgene bottle but i’m looking to get something thats more friendly for the enviro + my body!
I left my Nalgene on the bus recently so I’ve been amping up my BPA intake by repeatedly refilling a plastic smartwater bottle. Healthy, I know…
1. Those zebra print chairs are a-mazing
2. I get my water in by carrying a water bottle around with me. Truth be told, I’m a GREAT candidate for this contest because the water bottle I currently tote around with me is one of those cheesy squeeze sports bottles that I stole off my BF’s bike. Seriously. It makes squirty noises when I drink out of it. Not cute.
When I wake up, I down 2 large glass of water to flush the digestive track( just what you wanted to hear, right? I read this once in h.s.from a book called Fit For Life). Then throughout the day, I fill and fill my Sigg bottle.
I have a cup similar to your starbucks one that’s my new favorite at home. I also have double insulated one that I take to the gym but it’s a pain to carry anywhere else. Water is easy for me though – it’s one good habit that I manage to keep up (wish I could say the same about the rest of my diet. LOL)
I’m horrible at drinking enough water, so hopefully this awesome bottle would inspire me to drink more!
I have a Klean Kanteed that I carry with me everywhere, but it leaks and is not insulated so I am in the market for a new one. This sounds perfect–hope I win!!
i have a starbucks cup just like yours that i use and refill multiple times a day! I would love love love to try something different. Especially since i am trying very hard to give up my diet pepsi addiction.
i have 6 of those hawaii starbucks water cups and drink like a camel all day from them. the straw = awesome because im too lazy to unscrew a lid.
I just a regular plastic cup at work that I refill 2 or 3 times a day. For the gym, I use a plastic water bottle that I use for about a month and then I recycle it and start the process again.
I buy a smart water about once a week and just keep refilling it from the tap until the bottle gets too gross to use. Makes me feel like Jen Aniston:)
i have a 40 oz klean kanteen (HATE how they spell it) that i always carry around with me. i drink 2-3 of them every day!
I would love to try one of those, I am checking out the website now. I won’t buy til after the contest though haha!! I’m a nurse and have a 32 ounce jug I carry back and forth to work everyday that was vender gift. I like how big it is, but it spills easily even with the lid on!!
I down water bottles and refil them if I am out. I have a nice nathan water bottle I use at home but I dont take it with me because I am afraid I would lose it. Know I would lose it. I have to MAKE myself drink but I do because I know it is so darn good for me. As are girl scout cookies. (<;
I use to have a Starbucks cup like yours that I would fill up multiple times daily and carry with me, then it broke. Now I have a Bill Miller’s mug that I use. It’s okay but it was the cheapest easiest thing I had access to so I got one.
I carry my Liberty Bottle with me everywhere.
I used to be a Sigg fanatic until I stumbled upon Liberty Bottles at REI. They are amazing for the following reasons:
~Cheaper than Sigg! $18 at REI. For Realz.
~ Made in the USA!!!
~Wide mouth and THREADLESS! Only a quarter turn to open & close. No more turning & turning like you do with a Sigg.
~Made of recycled materials
~The artwork is all from local artists!
I probably sound like I work for them. I swear I don’t, I just have tried SO many reusable water bottles and am so happy to have found these guys.
I literally carry my water bottle everywhere I go–if I don’t have it I freak out! I’m boring though–I just drink tap water and refill a plastic bottle.
I carry around a larger than average jug of Smartwater (hello plastic)-so ya, this would be a big help!
I also buy smart water and reuse the bottles from time to time.
I use a reusable metal bottle, but the outside always gets so wet! I would love to try the double wall version. . .
My water… I have 2 Siggs, 1 CamelBak, and a fourth aluminum bottle I got for running a race for charity. My husband has 2 Siggs, and my kids each have 2 KleanKanteens. So in my house, that’s 10 water bottles, all needing to be hand washed, but so important to our daily life. And since I’m terrible at washing the bottles, I could definitely use another – especially one that stays cold in the Texas summer heat!
Side note: I was at Costco needing coffee, and pulled up your coffee post on my phone to buy the stuff you recommended. Just to discover my Costco no longer carries San Fransisco Bay coffee! So I settled for another brand, and now have 3 lbs of coffee I DO NOT LIKE! But I’m cheap and will drink it all before buying another $14 of coffee. So, my question is: If SFB coffee were no longer available at your Costco, what brand would you buy (preferable at Costco – I don’t want to spend $10/lb on coffee).
the starbucks/kirkland costco brand. its like starbucks beans but roasted by costco or some sort of partnership between the two. its strong like starbucks coffee is but cheaper than buying actual starbucks brand.
I use a tervis tumbler at my desk and a camel back water bottle when I’m in the go. The only thing I don’t like about the camelback one is that it sweats really really bad! Not cool.
I keep a Brita in my office refrigerator and a Nalgene water bottle at my desk. It also keeps me moving during the day as I get up to refill and go to the bathroom (which is constantly with all the water…)
i get my water in the old fashion way… cups of water from the tap. Lame…
I could use a cool new bottle!
I fill up a large smartwater bottle over and over. I love the spout on them
We have an Ozarka dispenser at work so I refill 16 oz. glasses there … but at home, I use plastic bottles!
I think I am hooked on them, like a baby is hooked to baby bottles, LOL.
While I’m at home I use my Starbucks cup (just lime yours), because I love how easy it is to swig tons of water due to the straw. So far today I have filled it up 4 times, and it’s only lunchtime! I’m a water addict!
When I leave the house I always have my pink, double latching (no spilling with this bottle!), Nalgene bottle with me. Even if the hubs and I are heading out to dinner or a friend’s house I take it with me. He jokes that they will provide water at the above mentioned locations…but what if I get thirsty in the car?!? And we live in LA, so there is always that strong possibility of getting stuck in traffic for 2 days.
Hahaha I just literally LOLed when you said you are writing The Secret 2.
I cannot agree more about drinking from a straw and you drink more water. That’s why I love my Camelbak bottle. I too constantly have my water bottle with me and refill at the water cooler at work.
I keep a cup or water bottle with me everywhere I go and refill as needed!
I keep a pitcher on my desk at work and I live for our Brita pitcher at home. Funny story, I actually asked for a Brita pitcher for my 10th birthday! My parents were happy to oblige that year.
Brita into a glass: not fancy, but it works.
I use a nalgene and a Sigg most of the time. I love them but am interested in trying this out!!
I have the same Starbucks water cup that you have. I use it all day long and love it. I drink so much more water when I drink it out of a straw. But its not very portable which is the downside:(
Am I the only person who knows SIGG makes the sport bottle caps that you can switch out with the unscrew 238479384287 times cap?
I have a SIGG, it goes with me everywhere. My husband calls it my sippy cup – that’s how much it is a part of me wherever I go.
PS – I would be an awesome cook too if I had your mom’s awesome kitchen! Dang!
I ran the first part of my marathon in my SR shirt and someone stopped me to tell me they were jealous that I had a shirt. She missed them when they sold out : ) You are famous!
Your Boston trip looks awesome and I am super jealous.
haha that is awesome. i hope she wasnt going naked…
I drink SO much water, also from that Starbucks cup you have (not from Hawaii)! My boyfriend got it for me recently and I have found that I drink SO much more water throughout the day if I use this bottle. Plus it is Venti size so extra, extra water!
I have a friend who has a stainless steel bottle similar to the first one you posted so it is stainless steel with a small mouth. She recently realized that it was growing MOLD! Probably because its so enclosed and difficult to wash! The worst part, she isn’t sure how long it has been growing because she only noticed it when she was in the Macy’s Bridal super unflattering light! I will definitely be recommending this bottle (the give away object) to her!
I get bored at work so I drink a ton of water so I have an excuse for water fountain/pee breaks. I have a red Sigg my bf got me in Switzerland but I’ve love that shiny silver beauty!
I have switched it up over the years but recently I have been using a bottle similar to the one you use. My only complaint is the plastic doesn’t keep the water cold!
I used to have one similar to your Sigg bottle. I love that it kept the water cold but like you mentioned, it was such a pain to keep unscrewing the cap! So I got a really large plastic one from Wal-Mart the other day. Great that it holds a ton of water but doesn’t keep water cold
I drink water all day at my desk while at work. I am weird in that I have to have my water ice cold and through a straw or else I don’t drink nearly as much. Sounds like this would be perfect for me
I have a bottle at work and a bottle at home every day that I make it my goal to drink, or else I won’t drink water!
I drink water every time I feel hungry. Then, if I’m still hungry I’ll have a snack. But that way it reminds me to keep drinking all day and I don’t go crazy on snacks I don’t need.
I have a boring Polar Bottle that I use for water – it is a squishy bottle which helps me squeeze the water into my gullet. It leaks more than I’d like but it gets the basic job done.
Dinky little store bought water bottles
I have a water cup like your sbux one that I fill up all day long… I love it but bottles are always better for on the go!
I remember to refill my nalgene at least 4 times at work. Drink one glass of water before work, and 2 after. Totaling about 14 glasses or so. 100 oz is always my goal.
Truth is I’m not very good at getting my water in. I drink alot when I workout, but I’m not so great at other times. Maybe I need a cool new water bottle to motivate me.
I carry around an old plastic water bottle..I’m not proud of it either! I guess it’s better than not drinking water all day long.
I get my water in via disposable water bottles. Yeah I know. I suck at the environment!!
I drink soooo much water out of my “Klean Kanteen” 532ml bottle. I take it with me everywhere I go, it’s like my baby lol. I lose count of how many bottles I drink a day.. but it’s a lot.
I love your blog! I’ve been reading it for a few weeks. That water bottle sounds awesome. I have ADD with water bottles. I love my Camelbak but I need a filtered bottle for the gym. Because I fill it several times a workout and I cannot drink the awful PHX water. So this filtered watter bottle is awesome. http://www.seychelle.com/index.php
I recommend trying it when you aren’t around a water filter. Now I just need that water bottle to keep my water cold. ADD is killer!
I would love to try a new aluminum bottle… I have one from target that is BPA-free plastic with a straw, but I spill it all the time when it falls sideways in my bag. I’m trying to drink more water this spring as I train for my first marathon!
I have a really hard time drinking water these days, for no good reason since I happen to love water. So how do I get my water? From the few sips of Diet Dr. Pepper I mooch off my husband. (There’s water in that right?)
What a cool water bottle. I’m moving to Africa in August where I can’t drink the water (and where it will be a million degrees every single day), so this would be the perfect way to keep *cold* treated water with me everywhere I go.
Oops. I always put my sigg in the diswasher.
Awesome giveaway, SR!
I don’t drink near enough water, but I’m trying to work on this. I have been looking for a new insulated water bottle, so this is perfect timing
I have a 32 oz SIGG, but, like you, I get tired of unscrewing the cap all the time. This water bottle sounds perfect for me
I use a few different water bottles, but I like the idea of using the Starbucks cup with the straw!!!
I drop a teabag in a water bottle and just refill it over the day. Tasty
I always manage to lose or forget my water bottles places. Right now, I have a sigg one that I refill a couple of times a day. The only problem is having to go to the bathroom every 20 minutes haha.
I have a serious addiction to water I must have it with me at all times and if I am going to be leaving the house for a while I make sure I have at least 3 bottles with me. I am a Poland spring bottle drinker I know not good but if I filled a bottle and ran out I’d freak.
I carry a water bottle around with me. Normally I have a standard one that I bring but if it is dirty or I have lost it (which happens frequently) I have about 20 others that I will use. I have to have a water bottle of some kind with me or I wouldn’t get in enough water.
Like you, I love to have a fun bottle to carry around with me. I have a sigg that I use, and a starbucks metal bottle. I’d like one of these though, because of the wide mouth/easy to clean feature!
I have purchased so many cheap water bottles looking for the perfect one… But they never are! The straw doesn’t work right, unscrewing caps, turning it up to drink, etc etc..all annoying. So I usually get fed up & end up just refilling the WalMart water bottle I open at breakfast… So lame and bad for the earth!
By the way, tweeted about the contest at twitter.com/tbrainard
i carry a pink water bottle that i fill throughout the day. screw-top, which can be cumbersome while driving, but at work, it works. and i think proceeds went to breast cancer research (sis bought it for me). win win.
I, too, have the Starbucks cup which I am constantly refilling with water and lots of ice! I must have ice cold water, or I will not drink it, so this giveaway is perfect for me!!
I have my camelback water bottle with me 24/7 at work! I refill it a million gazillion times a day!! LOVE water!!!
I have a cheapo bottle from Wal Mart that has a crack from when I dropped it. This would be perfect!!!
I love your parents’ chairs! I have a zebra and hot pink guest room.
I love my Starbucks cup too. I have only gotten iced coffee in it once and have used it for water ever since.
I’m still working on drinking enough water every day. At home, I have a glass I refill. When I teach/work, I just carry a plastic water bottle that I buy from the store (the disposable/recyclable kind). See why I need to win!?!
I have a huge mug, my “bubba” keg. It hold 52 oz of water and keeps it cold for 12 hours. I usual drink two throughout the day even though all my coworkers like to make fun of it’s size.
I use a Contigo water bottle. I love it but it’s getting “yucky” in places and so I’ll have to replace it pretty soon. Hopefully with a G2V !!!
I have a few nalgenes that I use daily. I also got a VS water bottle that I thought I’d like but the lid makes too much noise…
I use an aluminum water bottle at work which I make myself refill every time I go to the bathroom. If I’m drinking a lot of water, then I’m going to the bathroom A LOT!
I drink my water in my I love running Lululemon sigg, I refill atleast 4 times a day!
Recently, I’ve been suuuuper lazy and have been buying water bottles.
Otherwise, I have a few stainless steel bottles which I’m not in love with, so I’d love to try this one!!
sodastream!! it carbonates and deliciou-fies my water. It’s the best thing ever.
I chug water at the gym and while running, but other than that it’s diet soda, tea, or crystal light for me. I’m so NATURAL isn’t it great? harhar.
I love reusable water bottles but they always spill (a few times in my work bag). I fill up either my Nalgene or Kleen Kanteen and I’ll drink one can of LaCroix.
I drink most of my water sitting at my desk at work because they bought us these reusable cups like your one from Hawaii. Straws make water sooo much better.
I have a couple of BPA-free plastic ones with with either a squirt top of a straw that I use. I drink water constantly throughout the day!
I use different reusable water bottles, depending on the activity – camelbak, nathan, amphipod. Sometimes I need something other than water so the nuun tablets or lipton iced tea packets are great!
I have a 20 oz. Earthlust (Rhodie) water bottle that I carry with me everywhere and refill several times a day.
I love my starbucks cup but I am tired of spilling water in my purse. I may just have to buy one of those water bottles just so I can be as chool a you.
A plain old glass as often as I can. I’ve stopped using my Nalgene bottles because of concerns about BPA, but haven’t wanted to sink the money into a SIGG.
I try to make sure I drink a big glass any time I am near the sink, and before each cup of coffee. I have that same starbucks cup (well not HI, but same basic thing) and my fave is my pink camelback- it’s like the G2V but not insulated so my water gets warm fast… I also have a sigg and that’s what my kids use
I am always on the lookout for th perfect water bottle- looks like you found it!
I have a 32oz plastic bottle that I fill out of the tap and then shove a whole lemon in it. Every time I drink the whole thing I can have a cup of coffee….keeps me from drinking 2 pots a day.
I leave water bottles through out my house and in my truck so I am never far from one. I use the one’s that I’ve gotten for free from races. Something good has to be done with them besides landfill!
I get my H20 in by mixing it with Click protein powder mix. Blah blah yeah yeah of course i found out about Click through SR. But i love it!
I drink water all day long, especially when I am sitting at my desk at work. I drink from a Kleen Kanteen.
I maintain a glass on my writing desk at work that I fill up throughout the day. We keep Costco water in the fridge at home and I frequently will refill those a combine of times out of the knock before I salvage them…but I would in all probability do healthier to have an concrete water bud vase that I could sponge down from time to time.
I have a klean kanteen which i really like (except for the screw top!) but it doesn’t keep things very cold. I’m usually gone for 12-14 hours, so I need my water to stay cold as long as possible!
Enter me! I have a non-insulated subzero aluminum water bottle, which I got from Walgreens for $3. I am cheap-o! I take this to work and fill it up 2 to 5 times a day. I would love an insulated watter bottle.
I use my Starbucks cup and I fill that sucker up 5 times a day at work. I do not have a water bottle to take to the gym.
I use a Sigg, but I probably leave water in there too long and now the cap is kind of gunky. Gross.
Enter me in the contest! I’m too cheap to buy my own.
I use my Sigg bottle, but I also try to eat water logged fruit and veggies as often as I can. Which is never.
At work, my boss supplies everyone with 1/8 fl oz poland spring…i try and grab one before evertyone gets here so i can grab another one later on without people finding out where all the water is going:)
first time commenting…i want that water bottle:)
1.8 oz that is….ha not 1/8th of an ounce…
It is so hard for me to get my water in! I work in surgery. Not just in the department but right up there with the blood and guts. Its not like I can just drop an instrument and go potty! I drink one glass when I wake up and try my best through out the day depending on my schedule to drink as much as I can. On the weekends, I probally overload trying to catch up!
I use a camelback bottle, but it doesn’t keep my water cold. Not a problem in the winter, but rather annoying now that it’s warming up.
I struggle!! I don’t REALLY like water. It’s just not my thing. I’d rather have a cup of coffee. A few years ago, I drank about a bucket of Diet Pepsi everyday. I have a 1 liter smart water bottle that makes me feel really cool to drink from so I make it my goal to refill that two times everyday and guzzle my heart out.
Random note: I always refill it before leaving work. It keeps me from having to buy a Brita or other filtered water. hahaha. I’m cheap to the extreme.
I get my water in by filling two bottles in the morning before leaving – I have one with me at all times then rotate between the two. I am so busy with my kids if I dont have two filled I usually wont get alot in!
I don’t get enough water in!! I have never really liked the taste of it until I recently went for a massage at a local spa. Cucumbers in the water………delish!!! It makes it so refreshing. I started doing it at home in my Brita. Now if only I had something to carry my water around in! Hmmmmmmmmm.
I carry an old Sigg bottle around everywhere I go. That way I always have water readily available and I feel like I’m being environmentally friendly. It’s a win-win.
I use a 32 ounce rubbermaid plastic water bottle. I fill it up3-4 times a day from the five gallon water boy dispenser housed in the garage. I like room temperature water. I do not like it cold, therefore, sometimes it is too cold when I first fill it up so I have to set it on the granite countertop underneath the wine fridge where it is nice and toasty. The cat usually vies for the same spot in the house so there has been some territory issues but I digress…
These bottles are so cool! To get my water in, I use a hot pink and lime green tervis tumbler with a pink lid. Great for the office but terrible for carrying around! Would LOVE THIS BOTTLE!
I have a slew of water bottles, but I wouldn’t mind one more! I have a .6 liter Sigg, but it tastes kind of metallic-y so I don’t use it. I have a 1-liter Nalgene with a smiley face sip guard – that thing is AWESOME because Nalgene has a really wide mouth. Sip guard leaves just a little opening for sipping (duh!). I also have a super high-tech NATHAN bottle that has a straw. My mom bought for my husband (Nathan!) but I quickly stole it since he does not drink water. Lately, I’ve been keeping a Kombucha glass bottle at work. It’s not a water bottle per se, but I feel green re-using it. So I think that covers it. My longest comment ever!
Love the bottle! I keep water in my car and at my desk so it’s always around me.
I drink my water out of a polar bottle that I take everywhere!
Um…water? That’s in my coffee, right? Then that’s how I get my water each day.
I have a cheap knockoff of your starbucks cup I use while @ work!
I keep it on my desk all day and try to always take a water bottle with me. This water bottle looks awesome!
I use my freebie running warehouse bottle at work all the time!
I have 5 water bottles on my desk right now. It’s like I have a fear of going thirsty or something.
I have two water bottles–an older one with a straw that I use around the house (because it leaks if you tip it), and a spill-free one that I use when I’m on the go–work, traveling in the car, running errands, etc. With two water bottles, one is always in the fridge, cold and ready to go.
I have a camel bak water bottle – I love it but the downside is the cleaning with the rubber mouth part – yay for dishwashers!
I have a sigg but agree with you 100% about the narrow mouth being a hassle to clean! Would love to try the G2V!!!
I have a camelbak-that I’ve already broken once-that I try to refill as much as possible, but it’s a b*tch to clean, so I’d love another option!
I drink from a regular sports cap water bottle that I replace atleast every week but I have been looking for a nice stainless steel one that I can clean in the dishwasher I’ll have to check this one out.
water water everywhere, all kind of cups on my desk as I write this, at home it’s BRITA baby
Your parents are just adorable, congratulations to you on the LA race.
I have a crappy bottle from Eddie Bauer…I NEED something new!
i drink it up in a water bottle at work. but it has a screw on/off lid which is kinda a pain.
I use rubbermaid water bottles and add lemon flavor to make it go down easier; I drink WAY more that way. The water bottles leak. All the time!
I try to drink a lot of tea and things like that. straight water is hard for me during hte day because the water at the school I work at is kind of rank!
Just wanted to give you a shout from the valley of the sun, great information. Much appreciated.
I get my water from drinking from the Natural Spring Water cooler at work all day.
