‘Morning foodle stroodles. I’ve got a little google action ahead of me so I gotta jet, but…
Who wants to find a new blog to read??
How about AnneMarie from FindingFitness?
I enjoy your blog a lot (especially celebricizing)! I was happy to see your post about jflofashion because I am a new blogger and do not have any followers yet. My blog is all about training for a half-marathon, trying to lose weight and finally attaining a healthy lifestyle. I’m a hard core yo-yo dieter and binger so my blog is a way to keep me accountable.
I’d really appreciate being featured on SR because I could really use feedback on some of post and feel more connected to the healthy living blogging community. Thanks for giving new bloggers (like me) an opportunity find some followers.![]()
AnneMarie needs some followers so check her blog out now and give her some daily encouragement.
Since you guys gave so much fabulous marriage advice, what’s one blogging tip or advice that you’ve learned that you can share with newbie bloggers like AnneMarie?

For AnneMarie – the best way to start finding some followers is to get out there, follow other blogs, check out new blogs via Follow Memes and, most importantly, comment. Loads and loads of comments. That’s what has been helping me. I also joined SITS (The Secret Is In The Sauce) which is a group of women bloggers supporting one another through comments. Every weekday, there is a blogger featured and everyone is invited to go check out her blog. I love SITS! Check them out, you might find your next group of followers there.
I am a part of the SheBlogsNetwork and honestly, I have no idea what it is or if it is useful. I have yet to figure it out, but if I ever do, I’ll let you know!
Run on.
I’ve never heard of sheblogsnetwork, so I have no clue if it is bunk or not.
One blogging tip? Write about what YOU want to write about and write worthwhile comments on other blogs. That is a great way to get new readers.
my tip is don’t compare yourself to other bloggers! only compare yourself with your own success. If you get wrapped up in who has a faster half marathon time or who always eats right you will be discouraged. not all bloggers are honest about the food they eat so just b/c they post all their food and there were no slip ups, doesnt mean they didnt really happen, so take other blogs with a grain of salt and set goals to better yourself, not be better, faster, more heatlhy than the other bloggers. good luck!
I agree with CouchPotatoAthlete.. Worth while comments on other blogs are important. Build relationships with other blogs. It’s a long term investment, not a quick “Cool post” and then expect gobs of traffic. You have to really put time into and make friends with people.
It’s almost a full-time endeavor if you’re looking to have a successful blog as a career, not a hobby.
Good luck
my best advice is to comment on tons on blogs yourself! find ones that you like and then people will click on your link. so make sure you let the other blogs do that (by leaving your website addy when you comment). i’ve found so many followers this way AND i’ve found new blogs myself because people actually do click through from other blogs…hopefully that made sense to read!
@AnneMarie: post regularly, for no one but yourself and stay true to yourself.

And please consider safety when you blog.
Don’t include information like you are going to be running solo on this trail or that trail. I usually blog AFTER my run so no one knows where I am heading out to run.
And comment on other people’s blogs. I don’t have a ton of followers but I feel like I know all of my followers.
never, under any circumstances, take anything personal. number of followers, comments, etc.
it’s all just for fun.
ahhh! [insert texas-twang here] Has yor hubby not been been learnin’ ya the right way to apostrophetize y’all?!

I’m in the same boat as you AnneMarie. I think following other blogs and commenting has helped me to a few followers popping up but don’t let the amount of followers you have determine whether or not you’ll continue to blog. Be honest with yourself and just keep up the good work. That’s my measly tip
Oh but I’ve never heard of She blogs network or SITS so I may have to just go check those out myself

I’m not a blogger myself, but as a regular reader I would say regular updates are really important. If someone updates twice a day I’m much more likely to check out their blog than if they post twice a week. Also, spell check and a professional look are key to keeping me reading!
I TOTALLY look forward to your blog. I am pretty new to running and I find you very inspiring. I started out running one minute at a time and now I am running 4 miles! Running is awesome!
I just started my blog a couple weeks ago and have gotten followers from following other people’s blogs and leaving comments
Its awesome to be a part of the blogging community and receive feedback and encouragment from others!
