I did a 45 minute spin class this morning at 5:45. I then did about 15 minutes of weights. Today is my non-running do so I do something else just to keep my sanity level in check.

I’m not doing anything running related today. But I plan on 5 miles before the city wakes up tomorrow morning.
I have my last presentation ever of graduate school today. Nerves as hell, I hate public speaking. I would much rather be pounding the pavement.

Hey Skinny Runner i love your blogs!!! this is my frist time posting as i didn;t want to be a dog turd today!!!… I am training for a half iron man and tuesdays are my brick work outs!!!… i will run 5km at lunch… then after work i bike for an hour and 30 mintues and then im off to the pool for hour and 15 minute swim!!! Busy day = deep fabulous sleep!!! Happy Training!!!

Heading out for an easy 8 miler now. But, yesterdays workout is bragworthy. 2miles easy, 2 miles hard, 2 miles easy: 17:57, 13:39, 17:55 Not sure that I’ve ever run 2 miles that hard!!

Dunno who those people are. I’m on the road again for the 2nd time in 2 months, post injury. After a month of running in the water, hitting hte earth is nice. swallowed TONS of mozzies but beat the heat this am. 3 miles running, 1 mile warm up walk. I hope to be piling the miles back on again soon. I’ve definitely lost muscle mass.

I’m not running today – it’s a Zumba day for me. But, I did run 2 miles yesterday! I’m working up to my first 5K. woohoo! haha.

No running for me today, but I ran for the first time since December yesterday! Now that it’s nicer here in WA I thought I should probably try to get back into the swing of things. I’ve got some 5ks lined up in June and hopefully I’ll stick it out long enough to justify a running-themed shopping spree!

I’m finishing my freshman year at Elon University and was so excited when I saw Tom Brady’s trainer wearing an Elon shirt, so I just HAD to post.
No run today, but I will be doing an hour on the arc trainer followed by absss!!

Sadly for me, I won’t be partaking in Running Tuesday for the next 6 weeks due to a bad hamstring strain and bursitis BUT at least I know what it is and it’s not a torn mensicus like the dr suspected. That being said, I’m not banned from elliptical, so I’ll be doing that until I’m bored to tears, or half an hour or so, whatever comes first.

Doing a 2mile EZ run tonight. Tapering down for my very first half this Saturday! BTW whats up with the tapering? I feel like I need to run as much as I can especially the week before a big race day. Is tapering really necessary? SR, I notice you don’t really follow that “rule”. Any comments?

I’ve been trying to use up my tanning package I bought before our HM. I hate tanning so in order to relieve some of the guilt I plan to run the 2 miles to the tanning salon, then run the two miles home

Usually I’m a lurker but I didn’t wanna be a dog turd, so here goes. I was supposed to run today but since the weather was so nice yesterday I couldn’t restrain myself and went for a run. So instead I went for a walk and a Bodypump class today. It was great.

I did a hardcore sprint/strength workout this morning that almost killed me! Sprint .25 mi, do 2 strength moves – repeat 2x with different move and repeat whole circuit 2 more times. That’s kind of confusing, isn’t it? Oh well – it was good stuff! Happy Tuesday!

Enjoy your blog, especially since I’m trying to incorporate running more into my cardio workouts.
For example, today I did 30 min on the ArcTrainer, then 3.5 miles on the treadmill (run took me 33 minutes).
Do you have any tips for finding woman running groups? Is there even such a thing?

So this would be the first time I’ve ever commented – you made it so I couldn’t refuse!
For the record, love the blog, think it’s awesome, and it makes me very jealous of all your gorgeous weather! I live on a tiny Island just off the coast of France, and it’s only just starting to warm up here, but at least outside runs are back on the cards!
Anyway, easy five miler today – recovering from a knee injury so taking it easy for the moment and then boxing practice in the morning

Got up at 530: Worked on Arms (strength)
then 35 min (over 3.5 miles) of Mile Tempo runs… Working out in the morning is better than coffee for waking me up (Although I DO still drink it!)

13.1 PR by 5 mins this weekend at the Oklahoma City Memorial marathon!!!
This ends the spring race season for me. Spring 2010 totals: 5 half marathons, got 18mins faster @ the 13.1, lost 14 lbs, zero injuries!!!

Well I don’t want to be a dog turd so I’m going to comment! I ran 5.3 miles today in 60 minutes. For me that is great! I just began running for the first time back on March 1st and have improved dramatically this month! I have also lost 25 lbs! YAY! I can’t wait till the day I can run as fast as you SR! And I would say I can’t wait for the day I can run as fast as you without even messing up my hair or makeup (how do you do that?!?!?) but I know that won’t ever happen for me!
BTW, thanks for keeping up such a fun, entertaining, inspiring blog! I look forward to reading it each week!

I ran 4.23 miles this afternoon in the beautiful, very runnable Hyde Park neighborhood in Cincinnnati. It was my first run my new Garmin 305. I still have a lot to figure out, but I think I like it!

Hi SR! I read your blog every day but I’m a new runner and I’m kind of shy about not knowing anything. I ran 8 min intervals 4 times today for a total of about 3 miles. It was my longest time running EVER! I told you I’m a beginner but I’m hooked already. If I could run behind Tom Brady, I bet I could run 10 miles in the hopes of catching him.

Avid reader and runner. Well not so much running these days…on a 4 mile run a week ago, tore my paroneal tendon and ATFL

Good thing it’s almost Thursday…I’m on the ball. I am a wus when it comes to running but Tues was a run with Duke the Black lab mix. Today was weight training at 24 hr fitness.
