I get race envy. There, I said it. I see someone run a fabulous running event, and I turn into a giant monster of green jealousy.
This happened with the Disney World Princess Half Marathon that took place this past weekend.
So instead of channeling all my envious rage into hating everyone who ran it, (you all looked like beautiful princesses by the way. and i hate you) I did the next best thing:
I signed up for the Disneyland Half Marathon on September 5, 2010.
Even though Disneyland was started first, we all know Disneyland is like the cheaper, uglier step sister to Disney World… But, it will still be a fun race.

purple goes with green…or blue. you have a lot of blue so wear blue.
though i haven’t been – i’ve heard many ppl say that disney world doesn’t have the same “magical” charisma as d-land.
are you gonna shower before this race or just step off the plane still smelling of halibut guts and put on your sneakers?
i never shower. period.
yah…i’ve noticed. and somehow your hair doesn’t show 48 hrs of sun, sunscreen, pool water, and sleep. kinda makes me wonder about that dry shampoo stuff you recommended.
That would be so fun doing a race at Disneyland.

I’m so glad that someone is jealous of my Princess running. I saw some people running as frogs, so maybe you could just stick with the green theme! Or.. there is a green Princess now- Princess Tiana.

Just wanted to let you know that I love love love your blog. I somehow found it a few months ago when I decided to start training for a half-marathon – well I have read your blog everday since then – and have been very inspired – and entertained! Anyways, I ran my first half marathon this past Sunday. It was a great experience – and just wanted to give credit where credit is due – and felt I needed to say thank you to you! I so long to be a “skinny runner” so reading your blog kept me going! So thank you – and keep the posts coming!

you should run the princess half here next year. I ran this year and it was the most fun race i’ve ever run!

My cousin ran the Disney 1/2 – I was just checking out her photos on her facebook page – HYSTERICAL!!!!! It looked as though the majority of the runners (yes, men included) had tutus on….crowns, glitter, frills all over the place – It just screams my name LOL!!!
Sounds like fun! I would love to run that half someday. Disneyland is a drive for me, so way easier to convince the hubby on that than a DisneyWorld run.
You should definitely do the Disney Princess half if you ever get the chance. I would definitely do a Disney race again, because it was a lot of fun! I’m jealous you’re doing the Disneyland Half… I wanted to do that one because it’s on my birthday! But, I will be settling in up in Alaska, and the husband used his veto power.
