WORKOUT - Elliptical/Bike ~ 30/20 mins + core work on ball
Thank you all for the birthday wishes! Now if only you guys would send me some presents….
I originally wanted to go to Disneyland today with Jaybob because you get free admission on your birthday.
(And it costs big bucks to get into Dland these days, like $95 or something. I finally figured out the reason behind the southern California housing market crash…. parents take their kids to Disneyland, buy them a snowcone, and before they know it, the hazard insurance money went to pay for Mickey ears.)
But, Primary Breadwinner thought it was more important to go to Mandatory Work Meeting today. Rest assured I gave him the big WHATEVER sign.
So my friend Reese is taking me to get a massage in Newport. She’s also our financial planner so when you invest $4.83 of your paper route money you get sweet perks, like her being my friend and taking me out in public.
Then Jaybob J is taking us out to a surprise dinner. James keeps saying to dress nice because we’re going to Chilis. I said I would give him another whatever sign with my foot to his rear.
Before he left for his oh so important meetings, he gave me a little present:
Michael Buble on a cutting board. Isn’t his voice lovely? It is how babies are made.
I tried to imitate his pouty lips but ended up looking like I had nerve damage in my neck and back. always a good look.
And because Jeezy knows my fine culinary tastes, he got me a “Cake Batter Confetti” ice cream cake from Cold Stone Creamery:
It is only by industrial strength duct tape, 2 bungee cords, a tub of super glue and the grace of God that I haven’t torn the freezer door off the hinges and devoured that thing.
Jay gets me an ice cream cake every year, and every year I pull out out the ‘ol trusty elastic waist sweatpants on December 18.
Cheers!

Oh no, the husband who’s always home would indeed have to go to work on your birthday! And I definitely didn’t do that you get into Disneyland free on your birthday; that’s pretty fly.

Happy Birthdaaaayyyy!
For the 4 birthdays I spent in CA I went to Disneyland every time with either my dad or my best friend. I bet your surprise dinner will help ease the pain of missing Mickey and Minnie. And that cake looks AMAZING! I didn’t know they made cakes at Cold Stone. Ohhh man.

cold stone creamery ice cream…that stuff makes me want to sell all my worldly possessions and use all the money to buy more ice cream.
while training for my marathon i got on a maggie moo’s kick (basically like cold stone) and went there after EVERY long run (and mid length run). i ended up gaining 12 pounds before my race.
oh, how i wish i were kidding.

My 25th birthday is December 18th so here’s to the cheapskates that try to give us one present with Happy Birthday/Merry Christmas tag on it. And boo to the people that forget our birthdays because Christmas shopping takes up all their time…I wish I had a birthday in spring. I think I shall make my husband get me an ice cream cake as well although I’m a Carvel girl myself.

Screw mandatory business meetings!
That cake looks amazing! I think I’d rather have an ice cream cake from coldstone than go to Disneyland. Is that bad? Now I’m going to be struggling to keep myself away from getting coldstone for lunch! Thanks a lot sarah! lol.
