I just ran my first marathon this month (st jude in Memphis) I agree it was very mental, and while I didn't do it fast, I didn't hit the "wall" either. My husband did though, at about mile 22 he really struggled and I thought he was going to quit. I do think for the time being though we weill stick to half marathon's and really work on getting faster! CONGRATS!
