I’d like to share a recipe with you today.

Now I know what you’re thinking, “But Sarah, this isn’t a food blog!  You don’t even know how to cook!  This is a running blog, how dare you!”

To which I would respond, “Touche, kind sir.  But I feel it’s my civic duty to educate the blog world.”

I have to apologize that I’m starting off with a difficult recipe that possibly requires some French cooking lessons or at the very least, a Martha Stewart-like knack for all things cooking.

First, you cut up a cucumber.  If you are incredibly busy and important, pay someone to do this for you.  Or even better,  force them.

Next, put said cucumber in a water bottle.  Feel quite smug and virtuous if you’re using a reusable water bottle.

DON’T mess this next part up.  The recipe will NOT taste the same if you don’t follow the steps correctly.

Last, fill it with water.  If you made money in the stock market today or recently came into a large inheritance, use Fuji water and revel in the luxuriously healthiness of it.  If you are feeling poor like me, use tap or even better, steal some from your neighbor’s hose.

Drink the sweet nectar of the gods and feel like a runner in a spa with your spa water and running bottle.

**Another complicated twist to this recipe is NOT wash the cucumbers before; it infuses the water with a lovely dirty metallic taste.
