It might be worth seeing a physio or GP. I have had thutt pain for years and it’s swung wildly from annoying to debilitating and all because I overdid the big muscles and didn’t work the small muscles apparently.
Ooo, ignore my other comment – I read from the top of the page down while catching up on your last few days and see you’re onto the piriformis thing already. That’s my problem too. There are a few weird clam type exercises you can do to strengthen it, which though boring could save you a lot of frustration.
